The place itself is plain, but don’t let that stop you because it’s simply the best Asian inspired cuisine I’ve had since I’ve gotten into Lansing! I really really hope you will order takeout from them because you will not be disappointed, fresh and delicious all the way around.
My grouchy companion was a bit short with the gal running things and for that I’m sorry sorry (and embarrassed) to the establishment, but for MY part…LOOOOVE their food and will be back. Alone.

I decided to try Ming Dynasty after reading many positive reviews both on Google and other websites. The lady taking orders was friendly and spoke good English. There was a lunch special that included a plate with rice and either 1,2, or 3 items. I decided to get double General Tso Chicken and beef and vegetable with fried rice and an egg roll. I also ordered a separate appetizer of crab rangoons. My order was fulfilled very quickly and at a fair price. They do have some tables there, but seating is limited.

When I got to eating my food, I thought it was a mixed bag. The General Tso chicken had good flavor but the coating was bad; it was like eating a weird emulsion. The beef and vegetable was mediocre and lacked good flavor. I did enjoy the fried rice but the egg roll tasted like it was frozen and microwaved. The crab rangoons were my favorite part of my order. They had a good texture and a nice cream cheese and crab filling.

Overall, I felt as though you got a good value with the amount of food for the money, but the quality was hit or miss. I think that there are definitely better Chinese restaurants in the area. However, I have also had much worse. It may be worth a try if you are picky with what you order, but I will likely choose other places.

After attempting a couple quick stops for lunch, where they were either closed or out of lunch food, I made a stop for dinner. I ordered the Pad Thai and the Chicken Hunan. Pad Thai was good and surprisingly the Chicken Hunan was a little too spicy for me. I’ll try something different next time.

This food is DELICIOUS!!! Best takeout I’ve had in a while I was late to pick it up and it was STILL HOT! The flavor is there and has a nice kick. I got the sesame chicken with rice and an egg roll. My boyfriend got the pepper steak which was also amazing! What a great experience!

It’s fine if you want Chinese food and it’s the only place open. Not a ton of flavor, extremely oily. I ordered the almond chicken, which is usually breaded chicken breasts cut into slices on a bed of lettuce with a gravy, dusted with crushed almonds. What I got was no lettuce, whole almonds, and the same chicken they use for sweet and sour chicken. The flavor is wasn’t bad, but it’s not what I ordered. The eggrolls were hard to bite through, overcooked and had a filling I’d never seen. The fried rice had no sign of any vegetables or egg. Otherwise, the portion sizes were good and all the appetizers were excellent.

My wife is from the west Coast and has been blessed with really good Asian cuisine. She says this is by far the best Asian food around here! It was both flavorful and spicy. It can’t be beat!

This place could use a remodeling in the inside. I ordered 2 combination plate with white rice, and my rice tasted smushed. I didn’t understand why the Crab Rangoon was in middle of my order. Bourbon Chicken tasted bland, and Coconut Curry Chicken could have had a few more pieces of chicken, I got mainly veggies. If the curry sauce was thicker, I can see it being really good. I also Beef Lo Mein, and this was particularly pretty good. It’s pretty odd that Michiganders are not fans of fried chicken. I can tell it used to be a part of their menu, but I’ve noticed many Chinese Restaurants don’t have that on their menu. Smh.

The food was extremely fresh. Service was quick and friendly. I got the general tso’s chicken and chicken egg rolls for $12.72. Definitely enough for two!

It used to be awesome and now you barely get anything. Don’t order the 4 meat fried rice. You get literally, I counted them 6 TINY shrimp, the crab ragoon is just cream cheese, anything that has a meat other than SS chicken you will be disappointed in. It’s a shame but it is what it is. Sad . We are white and my mom makes better lumpia than they do “crab” ragoon. It went under when the younger people took over. I’ll be looking for a new place and my mom and friends will follow. I’d rather go to Asia Finest. You pay for cream cheese not crab. The East Coast has better Asian food. They make you pay the money but don’t deliver.
