TL;DR basic food, terrible locals
Its okay. The food is only average, but the atmosphere & the crowd that eats here is genuinely terrible.
We tried this place for the first time & we mistakenly went during a weekday during lunch.
I have never been more disgusted in humanity than my time in this restaurant. Its NOTHING but white collar tech bros who are SO RUDE & have no sense of personal space because they think they’re better than you. This restaurant was SO LOUD!!! Its like these men didn’t care what the other person at their table was saying, only that they got to speak louder than their other guests. Without even trying, I overheard 3 different conversations.
The food is just meh. My caesar salad with chicken was sweet? Something tasted like nutmeg, we couldn’t figure it out. The margarita pizza was just a cheese pizza with cherry tomatoes. No distinctive margarita pizza flavor at all. The crust was harder than a crouton. I don’t remember anything about the other salad pictured. We didn’t stay long enough to try the pita bread

Ordered alot.. hummus with veggies, mediterranean plate with rice, greek salad and a seafood penne pasta. They hummus was smooth and creamy absolutely delicious! Salad was also great and big. The mediterranean plate was delicious as well mest was tender. The pasta was also great with pesto.

My kids and I have eaten breakfast at Island Grill Bunker Hill for years and have always enjoyed their food. Today was different. I paid $72 for French toast, pancakes, Migas, three soft drinks, and a small smoothie. The smoothie alone cost $8! Talk about sticker shock when I saw the total at the register. We waited over 30 minutes for our food, and it wasn’t until I asked the kitchen about it that it was brought out. They still didn’t have the Migas ready, and when they finally brought them, it was apparent they had quickly prepared them. The eggs were undercooked and lacked flavor. There were almost no tortilla chips and barely any cheese or tomatoes. The kitchen agreed to make a new plate, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the second attempt was no better. Again, almost no tortilla strips and hardly any cheese or tomatoes. Some of the bacon was dry and overcooked (see photo). We could have gone to IHOP and had a much better meal for half the price. Very disappointing. Please do better, Island Grill.

My daughter and I have been eating here for over a decade. Even when they don’t see us for years, the staff remember our name and my daughter’s order. This is more than a place to get food, this a place where you and your children can feel loved, seen, and known. The menu is diverse so there are lots of options. Central location and close to I -10 and St Cecilia’s Church. Plus Shipley’s in case you need to pick up donuts first a school or work event.

Excellent excellent food! Very clean store, everyone has a great attitude which is a huge plus. The kabobs are awesome, they even have a little ice cream station. Alllll kinds of food with an extensive breakfast list.

Lovely place. Prices are a little high for food but there coffee price is reasonable and there is free ice cream and when we go it’s never crowded and wait isn’t long
