I can’t wait to go back honestly. The food was very good and the service was so friendly. We went on a weekday, so there were tables open when we arrived, but they filled up pretty quickly. Our server was kind and answered all my questions about their menu since it was our first time there. It was good, it was tasty, it was comfort. I had gotten my wisdom teeth out a couple of days prior and was miserable, man this really hit the spot for me, for us. My husband got the fried steak with gravy, eggs, pancakes, and hashbrowns. I got their bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, apples, and tomato slices. It was really a great breakfast.

I love the homey small town feeling of this restaurant!

The staff are all pleasant, and the atmosphere is fun. The prices are fare for the serving sizes as well.

I love the private rooms they have for larger parties.

The food was tasty, and I appreciate places I can get breakfast the whole time. We didn’t get to try the buffet yet, but they looked good.

We each got a burger and fries. The fries were delicious. The burger was over cooked so let them know if you prefer a medium burger. Quaint cafe with lots of charm. They offer a breakfast buffet on Saturday and Sunday till 1:30pm.

The food was fantastic and large portions (especially the country ham!—see meal in the Photo section). Price was good for a big breakfast (served throughout lunch also). Service was good as well as the atmosphere. If you’re passing through Danville, this is a must eat restaurant!!!

Old school breakfast cafe in downtown Danville. It’s wonderful to see lots of big tables, full of neighbors chatting and enjoying breakfast. The place is so much bigger than it looks from the outside. The menu is huge and everything isn’t homemade here. Their biscuits are wonderful, fluffy and cooked perfectly. I had french toast and it was yummy. Out there breakfasts are healthy portions and great prices. Highly recommend stopping here for a bite.

Overall a good meal. I ordered the 2 by 2 by 2. 2 Pancakes, 2 Eggs over medium and 2 slices of Bacon and I also added a Biscuit. The bacon and eggs were pretty straight forward and the pancakes didn’t taste bad but were pretty thick making them filling but not as sweet. The Biscuit was perfect. Very light and cooked well. The highlight to this place is the decor. I love all of the Coke Memorabilia and all of the other random farm and chicken collectibles. The feel here was just how I like it – 5
Service was good. I was delivered the check at the same time I received the food and only received a cursory check in after – 3
Value for the money was good – 4

When you think of a small town diner, good food, friends and strangers alike- you’re likely imagining what the inside of the Red Rooster Cafe looks like. It’s like a scene out of a movie complete with clinking dishes and chatting servers. The food tastes like your momma made it (if she can cook) and the Friday buffet has endless down home Southern classics that will remind you of country days gone by (unless you are city folk, at which point I’d say just come for the experience and see what real food tastes like). Whether you’re on the Bourbon Trail visiting our small town, or live here- it’s a great stop for a tasty bite of chow.
