What a nice location for drinks with friends, a date night, or just to drink to talk to the bartenders. I loved all the drinks and with my two other friends we basically drank the whole menu. My favorite was the Daydreamer a must try and loved the aguachiles. I would definitely recommend this place next time you want to get out on the town. It’s so cozy for this time of the year and the tamale will warm you right up.

The food was really good I love how spicy the tamales were. The only issue is there were little moth type bugs that were flying around the table and of course one flew right into my plate. They replaced it with no problem but I feel like because it was dark in there maybe they kept coming to the light at our table (we were the first table by the door). But the drinks were good the food was good, and it was a black male server there that came over to give a compliment to the black women at the table which was a nice touch.

Yo!!!! The food, the drinks, the vibe, the staff, the music!!! We were visiting from KY and have been talking about it ever since. We had the best lamb and empanadas. You can tell that every choice made in this restaurant was thought through with great intention. Cant wait to go back!!! If you’re a foodie, go! Forgot to mention, our waiter, cannot remember his name, he had beautiful locs, but he was a joy and gave us great recommendations!!!!

Cantina Rosa’s cocktail options are insightful, creative and delicious. We started with the Daydreamer and a Oaxachan Old Fashioned – both showcased the spirits and added tantalizing touches. Our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic – he taught us things about each choice. We loved the cantina’s vibe. Kudos to Erick Williams and his team!

What a beautiful elegant space and gorgeous drinks that taste like heaven! The margarita clarita was out of this world. And botanas are so high class- from empanadas to the shrimp aqua chile. I could’ve stayed forever if it wasn’t a weeknight. @chicagopescetarian

This is probably one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago. I love the dim lighting and the cozy tables. The music was good. My boyfriend and I both got the mezcal drinks and they paired so well with my lamb and my boyfriend’s shrimp food options. The lamb a nice kick to it. Everything was plated, garnished and served beautifully. We had some extra chips and got a side of guacamole and naturally, it didn’t disappoint. I also really appreciated how our server wasn’t up our butt and yet attentive. I will say it’s a little pricey, but everything was so fresh and tasty that for the first time in a while, I thought it was worth it. I couldn’t recommend this place more.

A special shout-out to our server, Maria, who was simply fantastic. She was incredibly patient and provided us with some amazing recommendations, which made our visit even more enjoyable.
Additionally, I appreciated the convenience of street parking right in front of the restaurant, making our trip hassle-free. I will definitely be visiting Cantina Rosa again and cannot recommend it highly enough!

Slide into here to grab drinks and a small bite to eat. Walked in and this place is very nice inside the decor was dope too. Got drinks but wasn’t super impressed, especially for the price. Tried the empanadas which were cool thou 8.3, and their guacamole w/chips were freshly made and was really good too 8.6. Overall wasn’t too bad but their food menu is limited thou so if hungry may have to go elsewhere 8.4.

Cantina Rosa was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The exterior is beautiful and inviting, and the atmosphere continues inside as you enter through the double doors. Such a great night out with the love of my life. The drinks were absolutely amazing. The appetizers were also great and complimented the drinks very well. There is a great variety of spirits at this restaurant. You will not be disappointed. It’s great for a date night and creating intimate spaces with friends.
