This place is going to blow up, at least I hope it will. Great great food, awesome drinks, and fantastic staff and service. Our bartender was amazing.
We had a bunch of beers, the ghost pepper mozarella sticks (hot but the kind of hot that makes you want to eat three dozen of them), and started tasting specialty off-menu drinks the bartender was testing out! Wonderful place, I’ll update as we eat and drink more.
Hannah (Hanna?) is awesome!
EDIT: The Knotty Burger was tasty as hell too, their 80/20 brisket they use is juicy, flavorful stuff.

Service is stellar! Waitress was attentive to all our needs. Quick with the refills and refreshing our drinks. Food came out quick. However, food was just okay. I’m not sure if it was because it was lunch or what we ordered. We started with cheese curds, all the cheese had been cooked out and only had the batter left. I had pulled pork sandwich which is just what you’d expect. It was ok. Friend ordered build your burger and said it was good, but the onion rings too greasy to eat. Another friend ordered the Knotty burger and said it also was tasty but greasy.

Great time last night at a new restaurant! Came to celebrate birthdays. Started with boneless wings and cheese curds. Ahi Asian salad was light and delish. Knotty burger had sliced mushrooms and onion sauce on a brioche bun…very tasty. Good wine selection and popular tap beers. Great service, friendly staff.

We visited on New Year’s Eve with friends and following this experience, I wrote a private e-mail directly to the restaurant. As of yet, I haven’t received a response so thought it was time to put this in a public post. The following is what I wrote Jan. 1:
Hello:
We visited you on New Year’s Eve for dinner. It was our first time at your restaurant and we were with friends who heard this would be a good venue to have dinner. Our waitress was great and the atmosphere is very nice. We did leave, though, with much disappointment in the quality of food. We ordered the pork chop dinner and egg rolls from the evening menu. The “twin” pork chops were extremely thin, burnt and for the price, very small. On the menu, rice and broccoli were stated separately but when we received it, there were just tiny pieces of broccoli in the rice. The egg rolls were also burnt and again, for the price, were very chintzy.
Our bill was $60 and, other than the beverages, we were extremely disappointed with the lack of value for our money. We hope, if we visit again, we would have a better food experience.

We are locals out for Saturday night dinner. Amazing Bar manager! Hannah mixed me the best martini this side of Rochester! She was truly the best!! She double checked that I was happy with my cocktail (I was!). The food was delicious and a very good value! We both had prime rib and was yummy. Sides were great, too. Looking forward to walleye next visit. Service was wonderful. So fun to see this restaurant open and busy. Wishing the best for you!!! See you soon

We were excited to see that the restaurant was finally open and decided to try it last night. The dinner was perfect, with a starter of fantastic wild rice soup. Our server, Connor, was friendly and very efficient. All around, an excellent experience. We’re so happy to see you get started and wish you the best.

We tried this place a couple times now and the food is awesome. They are a new business and like all new businesses they have growing pains. They have stepped up to the challenge and so far have delivered. I think the food, customer service and overall attention to their customers and there product will make them successful. Give them a try and you won’t be disappointed, we haven’t been. Good luck Knotty Bar & Grill, keep up the good work.

We came in with a larger party of 11 on the evening on 3/7/20. we came to celebrate a family members birthday and I did not pick this restaurant. I have to say that I was completely surprised by the experience I had. it was clean and well kept. The establishment was much nicer then I would have guessed. The food was on point. My wife had a salda and a small steak. Both where well prepared and tasted excellent. The Steak was a little over cooked. It was still medium, but with the size of smaller cut i can understand it is harder to get the perfect temp. I had a burger, and ordered the pretzel. Both where perfectly made, and higher quality then I was expecting. I can not say how impressed and surprised I was. we are often down in the area with family have lake cabins in the region, and we will be happy to stop here in the future for meals.
The restaurant does apply a 20% gratuity to parties of 10 or 8 or more. I cant remember. The server did a perfect job of mentioning this before hand and it did not feel out of place with a larger party. Considering the level of service and the quality of food i would say this restaurant is well worth the price point.
