As someone who has grown up behind the counter of a family rub bagel store im incredibly disappointed. The quality food and customer service from some staff has gone way down hill. I ordered an omelet and got over priced scrambled eggs with cheese just thrown on top. Any bagel store ive been to includes has browns or home fries as well but they do not.

I started going here about 20 something years ago. At the time, I used to commute down route 23 every day, and this was that down home bagel spot, where you could also pick up some cannolis and Italian cookies for the guys at work.
The breakfast sandwiches were always great here, the coffee always fresh and hot.
And one of the best things about this place is that they are 24 hours, even after covid. Around the clock, there is a deli open, the grill is open, and you can get bagels at any hour of the day.
Bagel selection is good, they have all of my favorites like the tye-dyed bagels, French toast, etc.
Due to moving down to Warren County, I hadn’t been here in 6 or 7 years. But last week, I found myself cruising up/down good old route 23, to look at a car up north. I was absolutely delighted to see that some things never change, especially this place.
I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese with SPK on a hard roll. It was the best BEC I’ve had in a LONG time! The best part about it, is that the bacon was cooked to perfection. Extra crispy without me asking for it to be well done. It was spectacular.
Basically this is the quintessential NJ bagel spot, and places like this are one of the reasons I love living around here.
I can highly recommend this place, and they shouldn’t change a thing.

Stopped to grab a few bagels so glad I did. The were fresh and delicious. Huge in size but soft in the middle and crusty on the outside. Service was quick I was in amd out in 4 minutes. Huge menu for breakfast or lunch options.

Best Taylor ham egg and cheese around. G&a always on point and they are 24hours which makes it even better if you wanna grab a midnight snack. Staff also very friendly. But it gets packed especially on weekends. Get there early if you can

Updating my review to better reflect how they run the bagel shop now. It used to be great. The last 3 times I stopped in they burned my “toasted” bagel. They look at it and don’t care giving it to you anyway. No one cared to fix it until this time when I told them it’s the 3rd time. I also asked they don’t cut it in half and they did anyway. I’ll only go here in a pinch for plain bagels going forward.

I went here around 11:30 am because I heard good things about this place and was also hungry. Not a lot of places open in the area at that time. I was very impressed with the juice. It’s so FRESH. I watched the lady go into the fridge, walk out with an arm full of oranges and drop it in a machine. In just a minute or two she handed me a fresh cup of orange juice. It tasted so good.
Aa for the bagel, I’d give it a 4.5. Is it THE BEST? No. But it’s a good solid bagel and I wouldn’t mind going here regularly for bagels. The spread was very generous and the bagel pretty good for an 11:30 pm bagel.

I’m not sure why I keep wanting to go back, maybe I think they are going to change, but this bagel shop hasn’t given us an accurate order since last year. Today we ordered two Taylor Ham, egg and cheese on a rolls and we received two sandwiches with no eggs. The customer service isn’t good at they get very defensive when you tell them you either didn’t get all of your order or the order was wrong. I would not go here. There are better spots around with better customer service.

Well I’ve worked my way completely through the sandwich menu from top to bottom and everything was incredible. Next will be the panini menu. These guys really know how to make a killer sandwich. I also suggest grabbing a few bagels and cookies while you’re there.
