‘Hola’ (Hello) and welcome amigos, to a real Mexican family experience that will forever change your expectations from institutional restaurants. We craft our food from scratch and grill the traditional way with the freshest of ingredients for you to explore flavors from all of Mexico. I grew up smelling and enjoying my mom’s cooking. Her love for preparing fresh vegetables and chiles to make her special authentic Mexican recipes had such an impact on my life. I have always wanted to share our family’s love for fresh traditional food. My path was set to go to attend culinary school in the upstate of South Carolina and become a Chef. I want you to allow the distinct flavors, different chiles, spices and home cooked recipes.

This is my go-to spot for Mexican food in the area. The Birria tacos are AMAZING. From the service, to drinks and appetizers, to food and atmosphere, and affordable prices, this restaurant was the perfect addition to Stafford. I will continue to be a frequent customer at El Jimador!!

We had a wonderful experience at El Jimador Mexican Restaurant! The food was flavorful, the portions were generous, and the service was warm and attentive. It’s a great spot for authentic Mexican cuisine.
Just a small suggestion — we noticed the menus had some food and sauce stains. It would make a great impression to keep them clean for the next guests. Sharing this with good intentions because everything else was excellent. We’ll definitely be back!

Our lunch here was great! We had excellent service, big portions and great prices. Unlimited chips and salsa is always a bonus. Clean and comfortable booth. We’ll definitely be back!

Margaritas were good… food not so much. Ordered a taco salad and received something that more closely resembled soup…VERY little lettuce and absolutely SWIMMING in dressing/sauce. Waitress didn’t come by to check on us so we went and found her. I asked if I could possibly have more lettuce to add to the salad to help compensate for the complete soupiness and was given a literal tablespoon or so of iceberg lettuce. When I politely stated that I didn’t think that would be enough to help, I was informed we would be charged extra for it, and yes, an additional $1.50 was added to our bill for approximately 2/3 cup additional of ICEBERG lettuce. I was honestly unable to eat most of the entree as it was still like “dressing soup”. Waitress was not concerned in the least and never checked back or followed up with us except to bring the check. Also, we were seated behind a large column so this photo depicts was my view. This was our first, and sadly our last visit.

Omg!! This is the best Authentic Mexican style food I have had without being in Mexico. Everything is delicious just walking thru the door you can smell the food coming from the kitchen just like being at mom “s. The service is great everyone is warm and friendly also engaging. Andre”s is great I really enjoy his customer service he provides from behind the bar. They are a bit pricey but it is well worth it. I promise you will enjoy!!!!!

The food is phenomenal, the margaritas are perfect, and the decor is full of flare. The colors wow my kids every time we dine there. We’ve eaten here several times since they’ve opened and have never had a bad experience. The outdoor seating area is a must in the warmer weather.

I’m not sure why this place has very low rating. We had a great time. Food was good. We ordered 2 more dishes but we finished them before having a chance to take photos. The shrimp was fresh not a frozen type most restaurants use. Chips and salsa were very fresh too. The food came out fast and hot. Servers and staffs were attentive. Lunch is available and affordable. Plenty of seats and parking. We will definitely come back!

Great place. One of the few places in Stafford that stays open late. Since they have opened, I have been going once or twice a week for lunch and/or dinner. Can’t beat the prices! About half the price of other local restaurants for the food that is, alcohol similar prices. The staff are always friendly and esp the bartender. Highly recommend.

I ordered a take-out meal. When I got home, it was like the cook just threw all the ingredients in the container and shook it up. I ordered seafood enchiladas, which I normally get, and literally, none of the ingredients were inside the tortilla. So disappointing.
