A fantastic addition to the neighborhood! The café has a truly authentic Thai vibe, and the host was warm and welcoming. We shared papaya salad, flying tiger, beef, duck in tamarind curry, and egg-yolk squid — every dish was unique and delicious. They even had a rare Thai whiskey drink, Sabai Sai, which was a welcome surprise. For dessert, everyone gets to spin their own candy floss, which was such a fun touch. We visited just days before the official opening, and if this is the starting point, the future looks bright. Wishing the wonderful team all the best

Every time we pass by this restaurant from the outside you can see it’s pretty empty. But we figured to give it a try. The food was delicious, we ordered the fried Thai spring rolls, and they come with 4. Then, a chicken fried rice along with the Basil duck #72.
Comes with the fried duck, and it was crispy, bell peppers, string beans. Carrots, broccoli, mushrooms. onions and basil leaf and white rice on the side.
All dishes were delicious. I just think the entree prices are kind of high $$.
The servers were great and very attentive. Love the decor inside the restaurant.

The restaurant is adorable, with decorations that make you think you’ve arrived in Thailand. I ordered Chicken Satay and it was amazing, not spicy but flavorful. We also got Panang Curry. We asked for spicy as I am Indian but I shouldn’t have because this is as authentic Thai restaurant and I should have realized their spicy level is actually spicy but regardless the curry was amazing. Hot, flavorful and amazing texture. Then we got the pad Lee mao noodles and that was my favorite. It was so tasty and the spices were on point. It was so flavorful. The mango sticky rice was amazing, we got it with the ice cream.

This Thia Food is better than good because of its greatness in taste and the appealing atmosphere I give them an A plus all around but you get what you pay for. Great food has a price

Our friend found this place on Yelp. The place has very authentic and traditional interiors. Staff was professional.
Pros- the good was really good! We had the curry puffs, Tom yum (without the coconut milk), vegetarian noodles, pad thai with vegetables and tofu – all were delicious, fresh and flavorful. The portions were hearty as well.
Cons – the place is not kid friendly, our friends had a baby, they did not have high chairs and did not allow strollers in, so was uncomfortable. The other con is price, was steep for the place, felt expensive.
Overall good experience but given the price, would need to think twice to consider revisiting.

The Penang curry is one of their best items along with Pad Thai. The red curry (vegetarian version) was okay. The Tom Kha (coconut milk) and Tom Yum soups were very good. For the price, I thought the spring rolls were tiny. The Thai basil fried rice was absolutely bland at medium spice surprisingly.
The restaurant is gorgeous and the food overall was very good. Was it worth the price? No, especially when you finished the quantity. There are similarly good Thai restaurants at lower prices though maybe not easy to find in Jersey. Muang Thai is an attempt to be fine dining which it achieves through the food and ambience but not service.
Be warned the jump in heat from medium to spicy is 2-3x the usual expectation and can get quite hot.
Sadly, I will corroborate what most others are saying about the service here – they have a holier than thou attitude and are visibility piqued when you ask for clarification or adjustments as though there is a lack of comprehension or surprise for the need.

Overpriced, underwhelmed. $27.45 for an order of Shrimp Pad Thai. It lacked peanut taste, was heavy on the fish sauce, too sweet, and somehow tasted heavy like an Americanized version of Pad Thai. The shrimp were fresh, the greens were fresh, but I wouldn’t order it again. If I’m going to pay this much, I’m headed to Bamboo Leaf in Bradley Beach. If I want to save money, and get a similar alternative, I would go to Spice Thai Bistro

Love this place. I had one of the best meals ever here and now I’m going to be looking for excuses to go to Red Bank just to eat here. They accommodated my request to make the tom ka soup vegetarian, and it was so, incredibly delicious. I also had the vegetarian duck pad khi mau, that was above and beyond amazing. My husband said it tasted better than his meat dish. Can’t wait to be back.

My husband and I love Muang Thai. We always get the panang curry and if you like spice, this dish is a MUST. The pad Thai is the best we’ve had. We usually get takeout and everyone is super friendly. The food in Red Bank is subpar to say the least but this place is a gem.

Delicious!!
Quaint little place with all of the Thai feels. It was a bit warm inside such a small space but I did ask to lower the heat and they kindly did
Ate here with 2 other couples for the first time. It’s a byob just to let you know. Our waitress was very nice and quick with everything. From appetizers to dessert it was all delicious.
