This was the worst KFC I ever had! To start, the service was extremely slow. I walked in. Apparently I should have gone through the drive through because they had no problem getting their orders quickly. My main gripe here is the quality of the chicken. I ordered the family meal which isn’t cheap. When I eat KFC, I expect the KFC special recipe flavor that I’ve been accustomed to since I was a little boy, 40 + years ago. This chicken had almost nonflavor. It was Like they forgot the special seasoning. I’m so disappointed. It will be a long time before I think about trying KFC again. The saying that comes to mind is, all good things come to an end. Something I see all too often. Sad.

Today I went to order 12 pieces of original chicken, everything was normal, when I was almost finishing dinner we noticed something strange on the plate, it was a worm, this was the most disgusting thing you can find at your dinner. I went back to the store to ask for my money back and the general manager was rude when I told her to be careful with her food, I hope I don’t have health problems and have to go to the hospital.

Just wanted to share that if you get fried chicken here, typically you don’t have to wait to order it. However, some times you do and that’s ok because then your fried chicken is fresh. Of course, if you’re ordering from an App or your phone, this review may not apply to you. This is just for ordering at the counter. Anyway, that’s the mindset I always have when getting fried chicken. I would prefer to wait rather than get any from their heatlamps. That said, these guys go above and beyond with customer service and always apologize when they tell you they have to fry more chicken. Some times, they’ll even offer you free drinks because of the wait time. But recently, I waited 15 minutes (again, I have no problem waiting and actually prefer it) and not only did they offer me free drinks, but extra chicken and sides. Truly an ideal example for other fast food establishments to follow! YMMV!

Pre-Ordering from out of town.
Website said “within 7 days of event”. Ok. Time came. Tried to place extra large pick up order for a special memorial occasion. Stressful ordering process, but everything came out great in the end.
The website was great for figuring out prices and ordering– but then advance payment couldn’t be processed. Phone ordering wasn’t the same menu or prices as Website… but we worked it out. Extremely stressful when they insisted full or partial payment couldn’t be made over the phone, and 1/2 had to be paid in person the day BEFORE the event. Not physically possible, so I recruited a local guest to go and pay in my place. When he got there, he was told it wasn’t necessary to pay anything after all.
I paid in full the next day, 2 hours before the event time–and confirmed the order with the Manager.
Everything came out perfectly, and food was great as usual. Just wish it would have been easier to have everything prearranged and prepaid.
It’s too stressful to have food for 30+ people be unconfirmed until the last minute!
Promotional Membership on the KFC corporate website turned out to be a useless waste of time.
HOWEVER—ALL STAFF at this Carlsbad location, at 4 different times, were exceptionally friendly and accommodating… The food was packed and arranged well, extra-extras were included, and we were all Happy Campers at this event. Thank you, Carlsbad KFC…

We were very pleased with the quality of the chicken in our 8-piece meal. Very generous pieces too. The coleslaw, mashed potatoes, and biscuits were also very good. The chicken puts El Pollo Loco to shame. The staff was very friendly, and the restaurant was very clean.

I ordered a 2 piece meal, white meat, original recipe, with mashed potatoes and coleslaw as my sides. You can never go wrong with the original recipe. The chicken was tender and flavorful, cooked right. The slaw was crunchy and flavorful. The mash was creamy with that nice, savory gravy.
The drive-through and service was a bit slow, however, cashier was kind and attentive and was pleasant, which made up for it.

The wait times I regularly experience in this drive-through are insane. It truly boggles the mind that sometimes you just sit for 15 damn minutes… not moving, no-one ordering… don’t know if all the employees head in to the walk in fridge to smoke a joint or what. But it’s crazy.

I have been getting chicken from a different chain for a while now, but I was walking by KFC and craved a biscuit and gravy. It was good but smaller and less fluffy than the other place. Too many of the chicken items had bones and skin which don’t suit my fancy.
