Classic Chinese stir-fry & noodles served amid casual surroundings in a strip-mall setting.

This used to be my go-to spot for Chinese food in the neighborhood. For years, the quality, flavor, and consistency kept me coming back. Unfortunately, over the past few visits, the food quality and overall taste have noticeably declined. Dishes that used to be fresh and flavorful now seem rushed and lacking the attention to detail they once had.
It honestly feels like the owner may not be as involved as she used to be, because the difference is significant. I’m disappointed to say we’ll likely be looking for another local spot to replace what was once our favorite. I truly hope they can turn things around.

Used to be amazing, the only takeout chinese that felt quality and fresh. The complimentary tea was nice to. But once Mogu(The sons company) was created. Jens seemed to have gone down hill.

I’ve been going to Jen’s since we moved to Massapequa about 3 years ago. We moved from Queens and wanted to find a Chinese restaurant with the quality of what we were used to – we found Jen’s! It’s like our Queens chinese restaurant but even better since it’s healthier! We love their Stir Fry (where you create your own dish!) and every now and again we indulge in the Fried Half Chicken – no chinese restaurant in long island even has this, if you know, you know – it’s delicious! Also, their egg drop soup is incredible 🙂 Head over to Jen’s if you are looking for delicious chinese food (and a plus if you a craving a fried half chicken!), you won’t be disappointed!

Doesn’t matter what town I’m in on Long Island, I’m asking people where I can find the best Chinese food. Sometimes I’ll just try a bunch and find my own favorite.
In the town of Plainedge (which borders Seaford and Massapequa) there are quite a few Chinese take outs in a very close proximity. I’ve tried them all and only one stands out as clean, great service, decent prices and fantastic food, including portion size!
Welcome to Jens Chinese Food! You’ll find it in a strip mall on Hicksville Rd, where people might say, it’s a few stores down from Marshall’s! Like I mentioned, it’s super clean, and the food is delish! I got the Chicken & Broccoli in Garlic sauce lunch special, which comes with roast pork fried rice and a really big egg roll. It cost just over $10, but it was well worth it. I’m definitely full and probably won’t each dinner later.

Tonight’s takeout left me seriously wondering if Jen’s uses lab-grown meat.
I’ve ordered from Jen’s many times, and the quality is usually reliable, but today’s meal was noticeably off. The meat in the beef lo mein, as well as the chicken in one of the rice entrées, tasted overly artificial and extremely stringy. The texture was bland, rubbery, and just awkward, nothing like what we’re used to receiving from here.
This wasn’t a minor difference, it was a clear departure from their normal quality.

This is my favorite Chinese food place on Long Island. It’s a bit more expensive than your standard Chinese food place but well worth it. They also offer a ridiculous amount of customization options which is awesome. I like getting things done in their ginger scallion garlic stir fry option for a lighter dish than the heavy sugary sauces. My friends and I agree that sometimes the egg rolls are a bit too well done. Try this place, you won’t be disappointed!

First time ordering from this place and will be my last. I ordered a Large Sweet and Sour Chicken and a Large Broccoli with Brown Sauce. The sweet and sour chicken looked like chicken nuggets, they were hard and disgusting. The broccoli was soggy and salty! After working a 16 hour shift you would think I can relax and enjoy a good meal. If I wasn’t so tired I could have made the sweet and sour chicken myself and it would be better than this crappy disgusting food. Long Island Chinese restaurants are the worst. You can never find a good restaurant out in Long Island maybe somewhere decent but this one is the worst one I’ve ever had! Queens has the best restaurants.

Every time I dog sit over here I order Chinese from this place —the food is so good. I love how you can customize your order in Uber Eats. I get chicken with broccoli and I make it spicy. Broccoli is cooked absolutely perfect with the perfect crunch. The veggie fried rice has delicious veggies in it. I really love this, Chinese Food!!!

The cost is about average for the area. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The food was ok. It’s not the best Chinese food buy certainly not the worst. The egg rolls were great and had a nice blend of vegetables in them. The fried rice was ok and the sesame chicken had way too much sauce and breading. It’s a cute little place that has clean tables to enjoy your food if you are shopping in the area or just want to have a quick lunch. I didn’t give it 5 stars because of the main entrees. Otherwise it’s not a bad place to get Chinese food.

Garlic smell in the parking lot drew us in. Very tasty, comfortable seating, bright and quiet place. General Tso chicken so crispy and not too saucy. Hot and sour soup was delicious also.
