Walking into the restaurant it shows clean, neat and minimally staffed…similar to other hybrid full service/fast food place. Our first…and last…time dining with La Veracruzana! The food was uniformly tasteless. Appearance was appealing but having eaten Mexican style from Texas to California and in Mexico, U.S. and Canada there are many talented Mexican Chefs…La Veracruzana fails the taste test!

Grilled Chicken Tostadas were ordered with no lettuce or tomatoes just chicken and cheese. Came back with refried beans and the person who ordered it hated refried beans. No where on the menu does it state Tostadas has refried beans unless you order the beans Tostada. She returned the food and said she didn’t want refried beans (she did ask for no lettuce and tomatoes). They said they couldn’t do anything about it, unless they charge her for another plate. I think it’s wrong to bring a plate of food that the menu doesn’t specify includes beans and do nothing about it when it’s not wanted unless you pay for the whole meal again. Terrible customer appreciation.

My wife and I used to order from this location all the time, and the food used to be amazing. Sadly, over the last few months something is definitely different about Veracruzana Easthampton. Last month we ordered through Door Dash and everything we ordered arrived so burnt, and smelled so bad that we couldn’t eat it and had to throw it away. She ordered the chicken enchiladas, I ordered chicken nachos. Thankfully, we were refunded through Door Dash for our entire meal. Fast forward to last night. We were craving Mexican food, and decided to give them another chance. This time I decided to go with my mom to have a drink at the bar and order takeout to go. We sat at the bar and guy working the register/bar seemed very distracted by the guy working in the kitchen, because he kept going back there for something. It took him several minutes to take our drink order, and then he disappeared into the back. As he came back to the bar, he stopped in the kitchen to watch something on the cooks phone for a few minutes, then came back to the bar. He still had not served our drinks or offered us water. By now, there were three people waiting at the register, and as he was beginning to pour out drinks, the cook from the kitchen comes behind the bar to show him another video on his phone, which he starts watching. He finally pours my mom’s wine, but we had seen enough and had lost our appetite for La Veracruzana. My mom and I walked out. I have never had such horrendous service in my life. I now understand why our previous order was inedible!

This is my second try at this restaurant and I still feel like it’s food is for local elderly Caucasian customers. The location is nice and that’s about it. I ordered the pork bowl and it was a 3/10. Rice was under cooked , pork wasn’t pulled but white meat cuded pieces. And the beans were bland to me. Customer service was still on the lower end. I won’t be back .

A huge menu of home-cooked traditional Mexican cuisine with many wonderful sauce options. Several booths and large tables for groups, as well as smaller tables. Very kid-friendly. Not too loud so you can hear the other people at your table!

I was told the NorthHampton location was amazing by a friend of mine that used to live in the area so i will give them a try next time, but I will never order from this location again, i ordered delivery birria tacos were a soggy mess whoever packed the delivery order didn’t care at all as the tacos were litterally all stuck together when i tried to pick one up they all ripped apart. The carne asada tostones were disgusting the tortilla was so dry and hard one bite and tge entire thing just crumbled to pieces, the steak had absolutely no flavor at all, it was tough and gamey and resembled dried up old boot leather. The rice was not cooked properly, had absolutely no flavor what so ever and tasted like cheap one minute bag rice. The plantains were edible but definitely needed a few more days to ripen. I was really looking forward to finding really good Spanish food in the area because we just moved here and we need a go to spot. This restaurant was highly recommended by a good friend but she had said the Northampton location, so I am going to give it another shot and order from the other location. Easthampton you really need to do better the person who cooked your food took absolutely no pride in his work, hopefully you get that fixed so you don’t lose busniess.

I was in the area and really wanted a margarita, the spicy one was so delicious! I wasn’t staying long so I didn’t get a meal but the chips and salsa were great. If I’m in the area I definitely want to stop in to eat next time

Great experience. Friendly staff, spacious seating area, delicious house margarita, and tasty food. We loved the stuffed jalapeños and salsa bar!! Fajitas were excellent, though lacking in tortillas. The one downside was the steak torta that had only meat on the bread and was very tough (nearly impossible to bite). I would order something different next time. Overall, we enjoyed our visit thanks to the great service, appetizers, drinks and salsa bar!

I love a good salsa bar & the variation did not disappoint. Kept it simple with an order of veggie tostadas. Menu was extensive & definitely made me want to come back. Interesting in that relleno

Sooo disappointed!! We have loved Vera and it’s been a go to, but our last few meals have been terrible. The quality has taken a nose dive. Nothing is fresh or quality. The “carne asada” was dry, unseasoned brisket. The jalapeños are not fresh, definitely canned. And the prices have increased recently. We won’t be back anytime soon unfortunately.
