Never in a million years did we ever think Gaylord would get an AMAZING sushi restaurant! The sushi is spectacular! We like the crunch munch 2 roll and the tempura shrimp roll. Crab rangoons are fabulous also. Rafi is THE MAN! We love this place.

To put things into perspective, the first picture with vegetables was $23.90 from Rafi’s, we ordered carry-out and this is completely unacceptable. Only a few bites of steak! The other two pictures are from Lucky’s in Gaylord right down the road. See with your eyes the price comparison vs amount of food. What a JOKE!!! Highly disappointed, your experience dining in vs takeout is completely different. Go somewhere else for hibachi or for a nice steak.

I totally have never eaten at an establishment such as this one…n let me tell you it’s AMAZING! The place is extremely beautiful and the food is off the chart! The chef even made us a FREE swan made of apples! I have to tell you, if you don’t eat here for any hibachi place then you don’t know what you’re missing! Never thought in a million years I’d ever try sushi… tried my daughter’s and I would definitely recommend.

I loved it here. Came during slow hours on my way home after hours of driving. Menu had so many Eastern food options, it was hard to choose, wound up getting the Tempura Udon which was delicious and the bowl was so big there was no way to eat it all (I brought a large container home). The waitress checked on me regularly and I could hear her giving some solid menu advice to another table. Some menu items are quite expensive, however, you get what you pay for. Want steak? Ur paying high. Cool with chicken? My giant udon was $20. So, it is fair as far as I’m concerned.

I love treating myself to Rafi’s. Food is fresh, well prepared/proportioned and full of umami. Great atmosphere thats both charming and energetic, plus super clean. If you eat anywhere in Gaylord Michigan, Rafi’s is a real treat. Big shout out to my eloquent server, Vanya for delivering an excellent experience. I can’t wait to return!

First time here and they didn’t disappoint! Ordered the Hibachi Chicken (takeout). The dish was hot, large portion size and ready when I arrived. Dine in seating looked comfortable and inviting. Looking forward to eating in the next time around.

Great food. Only complaint is bibimbop had too much rice and not enough toppings. Sushi we ordered were more fusion and they were also heavy on the rice but good balance of flavors and generous portions

I’ve been to this sushi spot multiple times, and it never disappoints. It’s officially my go-to whenever I’m in the area — no other place compares. The sushi here is truly the best for miles. Every bite bursts with rich umami flavor, and you can taste the freshness of the ingredients. Whether it’s the melt-in-your-mouth sashimi, perfectly balanced rolls, or the thoughtful plating, everything feels crafted with care and skill. The quality is consistently outstanding, and the atmosphere is welcoming. If you’re a sushi lover, this place is a must. Worth the trip every single time!
