The cake they gave us was not worth $150. We asked for a tres leches cake, and we did not get that. It was a plain vanilla cake and the strawberries on top were ridiculously placed. To top it off they wrapped the cake in Saran Wrap; what kind of cake place does that. None that I know of. Never again.

This is a little hole in wall place that has the largest best tasting burritos I have found in this whole state. Yes I said burritos. They have a full Mexican food menu. I don’t know why it’s labeled as a bakery (maybe the do baked goods for other businesses) as the cases don’t seem to have baked goods in them. Staff is very pleasant.

Literally the best burritos I’ve had in a while. Tortas are very delicious too. Highly recommend their hot food menu. The deserts look delicious, but I’ve never tried.

I bought a Leche cake from here and it was delicious! It was the 2nd best Leche cake I had between here and NY. One of my friends from a previous job Maria, she makes the best cakes but, this cake was right behind her. I was about to order another but, I’ll have to catch them Monday.

Very attentive. They speak mostly Spanish, but we made enough progress to get a cake, 2 filled donuts and a cakie cookie thing that went great with coffee. I’ll learn the name next time

Warning!BRIDGEVILLE — Jirehs Bakery was closed last week after an inspection found multiple alleged violations including pest infestation, the Delaware Division of Public Health determined.
A mouse was seen running out the back door of the eatery at 113 Market Street, according to the four-page report, and dead roaches were ound covered in cobwebs.
Treatment by a professional pest control company and cleaning all food surfaces was ordered before a re-opening inspection could be scheduled.
An attempt to reach the bakery via telephone Tuesday was not immediately successful. An update on the re-inspection process was unavailable,
A closure sign — to be removed by the health department only — was placed on the front door. A $50 fine was assessed due to repeat priority and core violations, the report said.

• Large buildup of debris underneath mixer heads.
• Numerous products store in refrigeration to be without any date marking.

Apparently they’ve solved their food safety issues, because they’re back open, and their authentic Guatemalan tacos are AMAZING and only $2.50 a piece.
