I cannot say enough good things about Stein Haus! Today was my first time dining here, and it was a lovely experience!

Service was excellent, the food was delicious, the atmosphere and decor are modern meets art deco; I loved it all. Very clean bathrooms that are thoughtfully stocked with amenities most other businesses don’t even think to offer.

There’s an area with couches and coffee tables, where you can sit with friends and chat over one of their yummy cocktails.

They also have a spacious and heated enclosed patio that I recommend for the people watchers.

My husband and I both had the flatbread pizzas. He had the Buttery Buffalo and I had the Black and Bleu. Both were PHENOMENAL. That was the best flatbread I’ve ever had.

I also had their brisket chili, which had a lovely dry heat to it.

Their espresso martini was my drink of choice, and I do recommend it!

I have been wanting to come here since the soft opening and it did not disappoint! I absolutely love the ambience here, with some beautiful decor and the local/small business vibe. The owners were both there, talking to customers and looking for feedback! They truly care about every customer’s experience. I got the Serrano margarita and the margherita pizza, which were delicious. My dad got the steak kebabs. He thought that the steak was cooked beautifully and it had a great flavor. I just need more people to order veggie kebabs so they can stay on the menu and I can try some next time 🙂 Our waitress was also super sweet and attentive. I cannot wait to come back with more of my friends and family to support such a cool local business. I wish I took some pics to boost my review but look at their Facebook page to see how sweet this place is!

If you want a cocktail, this is the place. One of the largest cocktail/beer menus we’ve seen. If you want good food, this is the place. Dined early afternoon – Chicken Kabob’s, Flatbread’s and Taco Salad were awesome. Nice selection of appetizers as well. Heated covered patio area and very nice “speakeasy” decor inside. Friendly staff and good service. Would recommend and will return.

We saw the pasta night advertisement on Facebook and went to check out the place. We were greeted at the door, very welcoming, the decor was lovely and the food was very tasty and fresh. 2 of us had the white sauce and one of us the red and we were all happy with the flavors. I really like being able to have 2 smaller portions, rather than one large one and being able to switch the 2nd portion for a different sauce/pasta/meat combo was great too. Last but not least our waitress was absolutely wonderful. She was zipping around from table to table making sure everyone was well taken care of, beverages refilled and empty plates promptly removed. She was on top of it and was so gracious while doing so. We look forward to checking out the regular menu days and relaxing with drinks in the front area of the place in the near future.

We stopped in to try Belleville Stein Haus today. Certainly glad we did, what a wonderful vibe. We sampled a few menu items, Wings, Shrimp Cocktail and Onion Bread Bites. Ok…….EXCELLENT!
First, the wings…….fall off the bone goodness just begins to describe these smoked goodies. When they say “fall off the bone” they mean moist, and cooked to perfection. Like, drop the wing on your plate and it opens up begging to be eaten like a good book automatically opening up to your last read page. Yes, they’re good.
The Onoin Bread Bites, crafted by Chef Judy are worth including in any order and the Shrimp are deliciously large. Even if you steer away from seafood, you should give them a bite.
Thank you, Joe and Judy! We can’t wait to return.

I want to like this place so much, but I have given it a try multiple times and it’s just not that good. It does have some potential if things can get fixed.

1. Nachos. I tried these and was very confused. They come out with 5 different cups with all the toppings and and a cutting board with a handful of Great Value chips sprinkled with maybe 3 Doritos. It is very clunky to try to eat, especially when trying to use the baby spoon given. I asked for a plate and got a tiny little 4” plate. All for $14! It was bad, inconvenient, and insanely over priced for what you got. Put it on a plate with everything on top, give more chips, and charge $10.

2. Wings. The wings had a very good smoky flavor, and I really enjoyed them! But man…they are bite sized. Literally, one bite each. Once again, either more food (bigger wings or higher count) or lower the bloody price.

3. Kebabs. These were awesome and fairly priced. I liked the Korean bbq sauce they came with too. Don’t change these.

4. Drinks. A very good drink menu! I had the Oaxacan and it was very good! Pricey yes, but I’m happy to pay for a good drink. My wife got a berry mule and it was awesome too, fairly priced. Overall, drinks were good. I’ve also had a couple different old fashioned drinks and they have been great as well. I was afraid to ask the price but they do have a small but good selection of whiskeys too, so kudos there.

5. Service. It’s decent. It’s not good or bad. It’s infrequent and passive for the most part, but not unfriendly.

I think this place is having an identity crisis. It is stuck between a dive bar, an upscale lounge, a restaurant, and a sports bar(all the tvs but no sports on). From what I’ve seen, it’s not dive clientele. This place honestly has potential and I hope you work the kinks out. The reality is, we paid $80 (after tax and tip) for 2 drinks and 3 (essentially) appetizers, 2 of which were severely undersized. I went home and ate a sandwich.I don’t like to write bad reviews, but I want this place to succeed. I think you should hear honest feedback to try to fix some things, and not just hear about the good things. I wish the owner well, as is my hope for all locally owned places.
Pros: Drinks, drink selection, a good bartender making them.
Cons: Nachos, the confusing vibe of the place, portions/pricing
