It was our first time eating at Agni. Dheeraj was our server, he was pleasant, friendly and helpful. I am Pakistani, therefore I can be quite picky with certain curries. We ordered the goat vindaloo and the chicken tikka masala. Wow! They were absolutely delicious! So flavorful and the goat meat was so tender. We also ordered the veggie pakora, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The tamarind sauce that came with it was wonderful. The garlic was naan was fresh, soft and perfect! This is now my go to place when I’m missing family and craving a peice of home.

My family and I had a great experience at Agni. There is plenty of parking and the restaurant is very clean and beautifully designed. Malika was our server and she was kind and so sweet to my little one. She constantly checked in on us to see if we needed anything else. The food was absolutely delicious and the right amount of spice. The portions are so generous which is rare to find anywhere these days. We will definitely be back for more delicious Indian food!

I ordered BUTTER CHICKEN from Agni, Calgary via Uber Eats on July 12th 2025, and this was hands down the worst I’ve ever had. It was ridiculously sweet—like someone poured in cups of sugar. It was obvious the chef realized the mistake because it was also packed with chillies, probably to “balance” it. But that only made things worse—a bizarre sweet-and-spicy disaster that was genuinely hard to eat.
To make matters worse, I had ordered two boxes, and the second one was an even bigger mess. The taste was just as bad, but it was loaded with whole black peppercorns and cloves—making it borderline inedible. I kept biting into them, and it totally ruined the already awful experience.
I ordered based on the good reviews on Uber Eats, but now I honestly wonder if those reviews are even real—or if I was just unlucky enough to get the worst batch they’ve ever made. Either way, I won’t be giving this place a second chance. Hugely disappointed.

I ordered the chicken curry after reading several positive reviews, but unfortunately my experience was quite disappointing. The curry had an overpowering tomato flavour, and the chicken pieces were hard, making the dish unpleasant to eat. We were unable to finish it.
While the service itself was good, it was disappointing that neither the cook nor the owner—who was present—made any effort to ask for feedback or offer to change the dish.
It’s possible I ordered the wrong item or something was off that day, but based on this experience, I would not recommend the chicken curry.

Highly recommended. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. Portions are generous. Service is super friendly. This is our favourite Indian restaurant for take out, and it’s a clean and comfortable place to dine in too. Looks like they have also started serving breakfast on the weekends so we’re definitely giving that a try!

We tried the Mango chicken & the tikka masala with some veg pakora& naam breads and it was incredible.. From the begining to the bill..everything was perfect and soo cheap for the quality of the food…Restaurant is SOO clean and the service we got from *Mallika* (i hope i spell it right) was soo friendly she explained everything really clearly and servide was really quick!! Keep that friendly attitude 15/10 !! That restaurant is a MUST if you like AUTHENTIC indian food

AGNI is an ‘Easy 5‑star Spot!’ because the food is consistently great every time. The service is pleasant, the staff are kind, and the atmosphere is warm and lovely. We dine in whenever we can and order from them often — the experience is always solid and satisfying 🙂

I have read mix of google reviews , so I had to try for my self . I have placed order for pick up , mango chicken and rice . Food was ready right on time , hot , and really delicious . Person at the counter was nice and friendly and I will be back for sure ! So happy to have you just few blocks away from my house .
