Solid dishes at fair prices from this Italian mom and pop in Lake Forest. Is this the fanciest Italian place with a full bar and bougie vibes? No. Is it a family restaurant with generous portions and high quality flavors? Yes. This is particularly reflected in your price at this no frills establishment. The free bread was hot and fluffy, the appetizers nicely fried, and each entree or lunch portion was heaping. I loved my fettuccine Alfredo with anchovies. The sauce was, chef’s kiss. Would love to come back!

Great time. Welcoming staff! Delicious food. Ordered very large 2 person family meal special that wiife and kids split (pizza, spaghetti with pink sauce, salad, bread); I had lasagna Bolognese ..piping hot! The amber bock on draft was super cold too!

It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to say the service was above par, this was such a pleasant experience. My 3 kids all loved their food as did the grownups! My husband loved the short rib ravioli, and I was SO happy with all of the gluten free options!!!

Had a great meal here tonight. Our server Aris helped us and was Johnny on the spot with our drinks bread and getting the dinners out hot. Husband John had the Veal marsalla very good served over spaghetti. I had the Fettuccine alfredo with added chicken and mushrooms . Very good and tasty. He had a salad the creamy garlic salad dressing is fantastic. We purchased a pint to go. I had the minestrone soup which was good. We came here on our short trip from Florida because myngudbannd used to dine here frequently when stationed at El Torro. Same owners and chefs. They have been serving this community for 48 years : )

I called in an order for chicken Alfredo and when I got home there was no chicken. I called back to let them know and they said they would have to charge me for the chicken even though they got my order wrong. So.. they wanted to charge me for chicken while I drive back to pick it up while my food gets cold. Ridiculous. Super rude over the phone. Very very poor customer service. Even drove back and they still charged me.. and STILL rude. Smh

My family have been dining there regularly, since ’77. Unfortunately we no longer live in the O.C,but anytime I’m in O.C, I pick up a couple pizzas ,a sandwich & a pint of the house dressing. It’s a excellent restaurant & the people there are great.

I had an early dinner here tonight with my brother, Doug. Food was excellent and service was great! I had the penne pasta with the Sicilian Sauce (meat sauce with mushroom and garlic) and it was delicious … I wanted to lick my plate

The only edible food here is bread. Soup is from a can. Pasta is from the “frozen food” section in a grocery store. Something called “steak” is swimming in a nasty tomato sauce.

I’ve been going here since I was a little kid for the past 2 decades. The food is 5 stars top notch high quality, I love the food, but the customer service has consistently been a negative experience if you have to interact with either of the two older women that normally work here. For both of these women their attitude falls somewhere in-between passive aggression and overt rudeness and it has always stuck out as not normal for California where people try to not be tense and angry all the time. Growing up I always thought they were just having a bad day and the stress of being a mom but after two decades and it being the same horrible attitudes every time I came in with my parents or friends-parents it’s become obvious that they are probably just always this way with everyone.
It’s unfortunate because the food is sooo good and made with so much love. And then if you receive customer service from either of the two older woman it just kinda ruins the experience. I hope both of those ladies get a hug sometimes and someone tells them they don’t have to be so angry all the time it’s probably not been healthy for their bodies and minds.
