My family has been dining here since 1992, while there’s been a few changes over time (decor, residents in the aquariums, the transition away from buffet service); many great things have stayed- the quality of the food, tried and true favorite recipes are still available and several members of staff remain onboard after all these years.

Alongside the dining area, there’s a cozy bar seating area and in the warm months, there’s a small amount of outdoor seating available on the deck.

In addition to dine-in, they offer take out as well, the food quality is consistent in both services. The menu is available on their website.

Daily drink specials are shared on their Facebook page, complete with photos.
As part of the menu, there are combination plate specials for lunch and dinner, as well as special menu section featuring a variety of offerings for varying levels of guests- a fun option to try a variety of things.

While reservations aren’t needed, if you were to come in a large group (8 or more guests), I would encourage it to allow staff to prearrange seating if tables need to be placed together.

I think the prices are fair for the quality and would generally estimate meals at $10-$20 per person (at the time of this writing).

Love this place. One of the few we’ve found in Vermont since moving from Colorado! The food is awesome. The service is always quick and friendly. The restaurant we’ve never dined in, but it’s quirky and they have an awesome fish!

Went here while waiting for our tire change, the lady in charge was friendly and their dog sat beside us which was fine, coz I love dogs. Their food was good and the service was fast. Would recommend!

Had the cashew chicken spicy which wasn’t terribly spicy. Eggrolls were fresh. Overall very pleasant atmosphere and as you can see from the fish pretty cool. Note that the picture shows a buffet but there’s no buffet anymore

Almost like a standard Chinese food place, except it was very clean, spacious, and the food was pretty good. Got the standard pupu platter and a Szechuan veggie dish which was pretty darn good. The owners’ dog, Snowball, was great to have roaming around, although I have no idea what this means for health code violations or whatnot… I personally don’t care, but others might.

Definitely would come again!

This place feels like a liminal space. Enjoy a Scorpion Bowl, zone out and look at the singular huge fish.

Pretty decent all-around. Little higher prices on the takeout but the portions and service are better than any other local place in the area. The dishes are definitively different as opposed to some places that have the same sauce that ruminates throughout many dishes. Quality is definitely better and absolutely does not leave you thinking you might’ve been better off buying it from the frozen food section of the grocery store. Writing this review after I retried a few other local places because House of Tang was on vacation.

Food was OK. The crab rangoons lacked any crab, and our pork fried rice had maybe 2 pieces of onion, and 2 pieces of pork total. It was solely rice. Expensive for the amount of food we recieved too! We arrived at 8pm. It said they closed at 8:30 PM, the dining room was closed down, and we were told “we could only order to go since they were closing in like 20 minutes” . They were closing in 30 minutes, and usually businesses serve food until close. But take out it was. Be aware- if you are expecting to be able to sit down. I’m not sure when the dining room closes, but hours should reflect that correctly. We were offered a drink while we waited, which was nice.
