Well…well…I’ve seen many inconsistent statements below, which makes me feel we were at the different place. We have been served by a very professional gentleman – Tristan who even provided us a service at the table whole night long. Nice, young gentleman full of humor.
Place itself is very clean, terrace is fully refurbished. Actually, it is one of the rarest place located at the lake in Geneva which has everything together: location, service, cleanliness and food. This is why I am saying that the reviews I’ve read before are a bit inconsistent.
Someone had said that food is horrible. I think this type of comments has to be banned by google. You can’t state that.
We were 2 couples and had fish and meat, but all of us admitted that food was delicious. I personally had a beef steak which was very tasty. I’ve asked it well done, however Tristan advised me to have it medium-
well done ( a point ) and it was as I wanted. It is very rare in Geneva and surroundings where they can make 250 grammes of beef steak as you have asked and even better then you could have imagined. My husband and our friend had filet de perché and admitted that home made sauce was very thin, light and better than at any lakeside restaurant in Geneva.
I go back to Tristan, who provided us an excellent service whole night long. I have had an impression to be somewhere in Moscow, Dubai or Sardinia restaurants where service is THE SERVICE. Thank you, dear Tristan for your professionalism and implementation. It is very rare nowadays to love what are you doing.

Great atmosphere and views, however overly crowded on a Friday evening. Food quality was good but not exceptional. Service felt rushed and, while friendly, our server acted excessively casually, calling me “young man” (I’m 77) three times. Funny at first, overdone afterwards and not appropriate for a restaurant aiming for a degree of class and exclusivity…

Returned to la Belotte after a +25yrs break, and we enjoyed a great table facing the front lake, good food and attentive service. A nice walk helped with digestion. NB: As my shrimp dish was huge they graciously arranged for a doggy bag – which my husband and I enjoyed the following day as 2 small starters!

I NEVER write bad reviews but was so disappointed. Sadly the standard of food and the environment has drastically reduced. We lived in Geneva for 10 years and had not been back since the mid 2000’s. We took our teen/adult children back to show them the wonderful restaurant we had very fond memories of and had raved about, disappointingly The food quality and outdoor dining area has diminished greatly. We were a party of 10 people. There were weeds everywhere and it looked scruffy and the food, presentation and filet de perche which we specifically went for was sub par. On top pf that prices are high for the lack of quality and ambience. The nice touch was the hats. Unless they clean up their act we won’t be coming back. This is sad because we would like to come back and had so many special memories there in the 90’s and early 2000’s.

Wine glass was chipped at 2 places. Food taste was very avg, given the fact that we were the only guests at the restaurant.

Young Waitress was friendly and client oriented,
But after manager ( young girl) talk to us , we desided to leave and never came back again . She wasn’t attentive to visitors, and even rude .
