This place is perfect for a fancy dinner! I went with a friend, and we got the Caesar salad and steak—both were amazing. The salad was super fresh, and the steak was juicy and cooked just right. The vibe is classy and cozy, with a modern feel that makes it feel special. The staff was nice and helpful, though the service was a little slow because it was busy. The only downside is that it’s a bit pricey, so it’s more of a splurge spot. Also, it got pretty loud, which made it hard to chat. But honestly, the food and the atmosphere made it worth it. If you want a nice, upscale meal, this is the place to go!

This is an incredible gem of a restaurant. From when we entered to the moment we walked out, we were smiling at the ambiance, service and food. The pictures don’t do justice. The Walleye fish came with an amazing tomato broth..so comforting. Deviled eggs, scallops, 3PBO cocktail and the desserts were all incredible. Will go back and strongly recommend others to go. We also met Paul (owner) and loved talking to him. Just a fulfilling experience.

Simply amazing! Chef Paul and his team deliver a truly remarkable experience at this hidden treasure in the Western Suburbs. The food, the service, the experience, all top notch. I’d recommend this as a destination spot for anyone in Chicago looking for an incredible night out, just 20 minutes from the heart of Chicago. Incredible!

We had such a lovely dining experience our first time at Vie. We ordered from the prix fixe menu and made sure to pick different choices for each course so we could try as much as possible. Each course was incredibly thoughtful with artful plating. The flavors were unexpected, but all worked beautifully together. The gnocchi was especially memorable and delicious. We loved having the fresh bread brought to the table between courses. We ordered the Gooey Butter cake for dessert and every element of that dish was divine. We ordered drinks and were especially impressed with the Cosmo and the 3PBO, which were both delicious. The service was also spectacular. Our server was helpful in answering our questions, our plates were cleared almost immediately upon finishing a course, our water glasses were always full, and the hostess even went outside to take a photo for us. Overall a great experience and looking forward to another future visit.

Elegant and amazing! This restaurant is are favorite for special occasions and makes for a wonderful date night. The food is simple in look but complex in taste. I’m blown away every time I dine here. We typically do the tasting menu with pairings of wine for the ultimate experience. I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!

VERY interesting flavors. I don’t usually get dessert at restaurants, and they gave us one on the house. It was soo good!!Honestly the perfect note for my tastebuds to end on. Will definitely have to try again to give a proper review. I honestly can’t wait as I know they frequently change their menu and local sourcing. Beautiful and entertaining presentation as well (sorry for the dark photos, I didn’t want to disturb anyone with flash )

We came in specifically for the burgers this time, and we were not disappointed. The cheese curds are amazing (BEER JAM!), and that shrimp dip… delicious. Only bartenders who have ever made Malort palatable, in the Devil in the White City cocktail. So good.

Vie is always awesome. The combination of preserved foods and the flavor profiles of the acids during the canning process with the excellent culinary creations of the chef are always amazing. Combine that with the tasteful and sometimes surprising wine pairings and amazing cocktails, and you have a recipe for success. The Devil in the White City is a white negroni made with Malort of all things, and it was great!

I highly recommend making a reservation today if you can. You won’t regret it.

Quite possibly my new favorite restaurant in the Western Suburbs.

We went to Vie last Friday to celebrate a birthday and we were treated to great service and amazing food. Yes, it was expensive but so worth it for the experience.

First, let’s start with the fact that we were pleasantly greeted at the front door. The hostess was incredibly nice and wished me a happy birthday upon checking in.

When we sat, I was surprised to see “Happy Birthday” on the top of the menu. It’s a small touch but I noticed it and appreciated the extra effort to make the experience great.

We started with drinks, 3PBO was excellent but extremely dangerous because it went down too easy with all that booze. Very very tasty.

The sturgeon and gnocchi were both delicious, the gnocchi melted in your mouth. It was after tasting these that I knew we were in for a treat.

For the entree I had the lamb combination, the potatoes, the aioli and mint au jus worked perfectly together. My wife had the pork combination with the “slim jim” sausage and smoked ham, both were excellent.

For dessert, at the suggestion of the staff, we tried the butter cake and it was amazing. I don’t know if we’ve ever tasted something quite like it. So buttery, and the raspberry with the crumble was just excellent.

And to cap off the evening, we had an “al’s good stuff” from the bar. A fun twist on the traditional manhattan. The cherry wood smoke was a great touch and infused the drink nicely.

Overall thought: Amazing. We’ll be back.
