The Walk-In is an eclectic cocktail bar nestled in downtown Jackson, bringing a blend of whimsy, style, and great taste to the area. Located in a former walk-in cooler, our bar has transformed into a cozy, lounge-style space with dark green walls, a mural by a local artist, and comfortable seating. We offer a creative cocktail program with a strong selection of non-alcoholic options and a unique menu of late-night bites. Whether you’re downtown for a night out, looking for a chill happy hour, or seeking a unique spot to unwind, The Walk-In offers an inviting escape. Open Monday and Wednesday to Saturday, 4 PM to midnight, come experience a refreshing twist on Jackson’s bar scene.

Food and drinks were okay overall! I got the Bulgogi Grilled Cheese and the Walk-In Caesar. The bulgogi was a little salty for my taste, but the salad was fresh and flavorful. The vibes here are great though — cool lighting, relaxed atmosphere, and perfect for a chill night out. I’d definitely come back for the ambiance!

Wow, what an absolute gem! This bar is a delightful find, perfectly balancing swankiness with a cozy, quaint atmosphere. The decor is truly impeccable, creating a visually stunning and inviting space. But it doesn’t stop there – the food and drinks are truly unique and stand out from the usual. I’m so thrilled I stumbled upon this place; it’s got such an incredible vibe, it’s genuinely a whole experience!

Had food and cocktails here and everything was fire! Bartenders and servers are knowledgeable and the kitchen makes lovely food. The atmosphere is just lovely and they have choices in table, bar and patio seating. Big ups to Ian, Maddie and Georgie for being excellent at recommending everything from “what’s good on the menu” to “what to do in the area”. 10/10 would recommend!

What a cool little place. I’m glad I stumbled across this. It doesn’t look like much from the outside but super cool on the inside. There was a large crowd there that looked like they came from perhaps a wedding so it was a lot of hustle and bustle, and a little noisy from the crowd noise but that was OK. I would imagine that it’s normally pretty chill there.

Love this little place! It has a unique, cool vibe, serves great drinks and yummy little appetizers. The outside patio is perfect on pretty evenings and the funky, quaint interior inside makes you feel relaxed and comfortable.

I haven’t tried the food yet but as far as the service and atmosphere it’s A1 in my book, the drink I get that has drawn me back every time is the spicy Mexican mule, I have to have it only from here
Great place to unwind and just relax.

Nice atmosphere. Service started good, then she disappeared. I had a French 75 drink but it had so much lemon & tasted like a lemonade drink. Food was a further disappointment. Would not recommend the crab rangoon or the honey walnut shrimp.

We usually have a wonderful time here. This past visit was simply mediocre. I have a severe shellfish allergy and was told that the fried food is all contaminated since shellfish is fried in the same oil. I just feel in 2025, we could do better.
Since I didn’t feel like I could eat, I just opted to drink.
We ordered a drink and requested to replace the tequila with vodka. The server was apologetic and advised us that the bar tender refused. It’s a simple request, calm your ego down. So you’d rather not make a sale on a slow night? Cool.
They were out of the red velvet trifle, the cheesecake was gritty but okay.
