Half hour appetizers haven’t shown up. Maby 25 people in here. Terrible slow service i can only drink so much. Im starving. 35 minutes Lady came by and said appetizer was free. That’s fine but it would be better if it showed up.

I had the pleasure along with my son to dine at this wonderful restaurant. I must say that the atmosphere was fabulous, the food was quick and delicious, and our waitress was fantastic. She was very attentive and very friendly. I also appreciate the fact that we were able to enjoy our appetizers for a little bit before the main course came out. A lot of times – you get maybe 10 minutes to enjoy your appetizer and then have to push it off to the side and graze on it while you’re enjoying the main entree. This location is well deserving of their five stars and I would recommend anybody to go in and dine there.

Saw some bad reviews but gave this place a shot. Went in around 1. Was seated immediately. My waitress was Syd, she was very friendly and checked on me often (keep in mind its 1pm on a Wednesday, it’s pretty dead). Food came out and seemed well prepared (got the ultimate trio with mozzarella sticks, riblets, and the chicken tacos) and tasted just fine. All in all a perfectly pleasant experience.

Sooo trying to be as nice as possible, I generally shrug off bad service as the place being busy……..Oct 11 just after noon we swung into this location, which weve done numerous times as its convenient and generally fast in and out…….got sat fairly quick as the restaurant was by no means packed……server who was male took our orders along with queso and chips, generally served before the main course……sat a while chatting watching said server waiting on other patrons, not a problem, more time goes by, questioning the chip situation as there are 4-5 employees hovering around the bar, many minutes later the queso delivered 2 to 3 minutes to one main course being served…….my wife starts eating her food, im patiently watching our server go in and out of the kitchen, no more plates headed our direction, 3/4 of the way thru her eating chicken breast and mashed potatoes still no food……..patience is running thin, weve literally never been served one plate at a time…….no server………I approached the bar where the manager and a few other employees were standing and expressed we were in a bit of a time crunch and need the second plate of freaking food or just keep the damned thing since my wife was was literally finished with hers, the manager apologized and finished out the service for us, made the last plate and sent it in a to go box also removing the said late food from the bill……my issue is no one’s perfect, I get it, the issue was the non schalant attitude of the server the whole freaking time we were there, chips served a minute before the one main course and never receiving the second plate until I literally walked up there to question where my food was……..please don’t complain when servers dont get a tip at all…….we are generous tippers and travel alot thus eat out alot, this by far did not require a tip at all, its called a “service” industry for a reason, our not ever going back to this restaurant will not by any means affect this particular chain restaurant, however, ya gotta do better especially in a town the size of maryville Missouri where most people know each other ……..our server would probly be best not dealing with the public in a restaurant setting, and mind you they were not swamped busy……..

I usually do not have problems ordering food to go from this restaurant. Tonight, we DoorDash’d over $100 worth of food. Most of it was “warm”, but the NEW ultimate trio completely disappointed. The wonton tacos (paid for extra dumpling sauce – barely had any on them), new pickle fries (great taste, but they were COLD and flaccid), and double-crunch shrimp (cold and flaccid). SO disappointing. The portions were also a complete disappointment. There were maybe 5 pickle fries. It appeared as if the NEW ultimate trio sat WAY too long before the rest of the food came out. Cold and the rest warm, at best. We also ordered a side salad and the lettuce was nowhere near cold. It was room temperature. We did get everything we ordered, so that’s a plus.

They were confused and couldn’t find the drink. I wanted.I had to find it on the menu. Then when my daughter’s food came out, they didn’t check on if it was done, right and it was well done and she ordered rare. My pasta dish, it wasn’t very good at all. My pasta was overcooked and cold. I did not eat it. Then they took her plate and eventually brought her a new one. The food really wasn’t very good at all and I don’t think we’ll be going back. Over 70 dollars. Nasty. Bye!

Waited almost 10 minutes for a table during a slow time. Waitress spent more time talking to the bartender than taking care of her tables. Never wants to ask how the food or drinks were or if we wanted refills. Never clear the tables around us overall. Just a very disappointing experience

Its been 20 years since I patronized Applebees’s….. now I remember why.
The food wasn’t hot… weird tasting mashed potatoes, their signature Bourbon Street steak was tough as bootleather and laced and grisly. Out of broccoli and wanted to upcharge for an alternate side.
The only thing worth the price charged was the water.
If I could give zero stars I would.

The staff and management at this Applebee’s were very helpful with an issue I experienced, within their limitations. I dined in with a group of about 12 people, and receipts got mixed up where my card was charged for a tip that I had left in cash. Not a huge deal, as long as I can get my money back. The management at this location was helpful in resolving the situation, however Applebee’s corporate is either insanely cheap, or stupid. Apparently, either their card processor or Applebees corporate do not allow for refunds to occur onto a card. I would assume this is to avoid the processing fee on return charges to cards, as that is the only logical conclusion I can reach for a massive company to have so little capability within their system. It is truly insane to me that a nationwide chain doesn’t have the capabilities to refund money onto a debit card. For whatever reason this decision was made, it was not in the best interest of us diners. Again, this location was great. But Applebees corporate needs to be aware of how terrible a policy this is, and needs to change.
