I went a few weeks back and absolutely loved the x-large crabs! The lady who helped me was nice. The crabs were fresh, meaty, flavorful and juicy! I ordered online but had to wait for a very long time . But they were definitely worth the wait!
This time most recent visit. I ordered online again. I only had to wait a few minutes. My order was being packed when I arrived. Both ladies were professional & nice. I purchased the x-large crabs, shrimp & salad. The majority of the crabs were light and not all large but the shrimp and crabs were tasty. But the seafood salad was bland. I will go back and hopefully experience what I did the first time.

Not too bad of a wait. Food is very delicious ! I would definitely go back… 4 stars only because it was cash only. There’s an option to pay online. $5 difference in price though. They were very professional. The Big Catch!

Best crabs in the city! You won’t find crabs that are CLEAN, fresh, and well seasoned anywhere like Berks Street. The owner is very sweet to her customers! Go get you some crabs!

The food was AMAZING! My wife and I got the crazy 8s with a half pound of spicy shrimp on the side and it was SO GOOD! Those little tiny crabs had so much meat in them! The only criticism I would give is the salted butter. It helps with the seasoning, but you don’t need Old Bay AND salted butter since Old Bay contains salt. Other than that, NO COMPLAINTS! Will DEFINITELY be back! Might be going back today! My wife wants a few $3 crabs.

The seasoning was really good. The potatoes and corn where my favs. Shrimp a little over cooked. The snow crabs had a funny taste. I did not care for them at all I ate 2 legs and gave a third to someone else to make sure it wasnt me but they agreed they were funny tasting. I may give them another try later in the summer when they are busier and crabs might be fresher. Not disappointed, not satisfied

I’ve been coming to Berk Street Crabs for years. I have recently rekindled my wallet with this business, and I can say this was the best decision of 2025!!!! I love Berk Street Crabs from the owner to the staff to the food itself. I don’t know where to start. This family-owned business is such a staple to the neighborhood and to Philadelphia. You must come here to get some crabs; I travel to Philly quite often and each time I’m in town I make sure that I get a dozen of sautéed blue crabs’ extra butter!!!!! The butter sauce at Berk Street Crabs is like no other! This is a smaller establishment but please do not let the size fool you! Berk Street is packed, and they do not come to play when it comes to seafood! You will be in good hands and so will you stomach!
