I’ve gone to a couple of the food and wine pairing dinners at the Mighty Oak Barrel.
Each time, the food was beyond my expectations! And the wine was perfectly paired to perfection!
I would highly recommend one of these dinners for a date night or girls night out!

Things And Stuff
The food was fantastic and everyone was waited on very well. We had tomato bisque which was served hot and it was very delicious. The braised meatballs served with beans, tomatoes and red peppers was new to me but also wonderful. The entrees were all a hit at my table. They do have kids portions just not an active menu. The glasses on my table had lip marks on them so I didn’t drink from them and my social awkwardness wouldn’t let me ask for new ones, though I’m sure the staff would have obliged, they were so nice. It smells a little to me as well but that may because I don’t frequent places with full bars that often.

This is a charming little restaurant, nestled near the river in Oakmont Pennsylvania. It has a warm inviting charm as you walk in the door. The waitress was awesome and attended to our every need. They have a full bar and the food was delicious. I met some friends there friends there for a girls night out. I can’t wait to go back there again and take my husband.

The environment was wonderful. And the food was excellent. Had an outstanding salad to start my meal, followed by shrimp wrapped with bacon as an appetizer. For dinner, we had a burger, Lobster Ravioli, and Chicken and bisquits. Everything was wonderful.

Wonderful little gem hidden close to the Oakmont bakery. Food was excellent – the serving size was well worth the price. Wait staff was excellent as well, very knowledgeable of the menu and was extremely attentive. Parking is at a premium and I highly recommend a reservation

One of our absolute favorite restaurants in greater Pittsburgh! We love the food, atmosphere and the family and staff that makes up MOB from back of house to front of house. Highlights of the menu include Fried Calamari, MOB Salad with Champagne + Balsamic Vin, Crispy Fried Chicken, Grilled Salmon, Twin Filet, Pecan Crusted Trout, Coconut Shrimp, Chicken Caprese, and the Burger, Fish and Reuben Sandwiches – so almost the entire menu! Their home made desserts are delicious and Max is know to brew up some house beer! Highly recommend for delicious food and amazing, friendly service!

Small place. I had haddock which was great. Group of 8 people and everything was good. Others had Steak, salmon. Crab cakes were exceptional..lots of crab in them. Grilled chicken appetizer was tasty with just a hint of heat. Calamari was done properly and tender. Our waitress was distinctly very nice person and took care of us.

I ordered chicken marsala and they didn’t make it correctly. The red potatoes were uncooked, while others in my group had fish and loved it. If there’s no other choice you can try it.
