Decided to try this smaller breakfast and lunch diner. This is now order at the counter diner. After ordering, find a table and wait for the food to be brought to you. Order takers and server were very nice. Diner is clean. Bathroom is not ADA fully compliant. Lunch was served in 10 minutes. My Philly cheesecake sandwich was tasty with roast beef piled high in the middle of the sandwich. I would have preferred the roast beef spread evenly on the roasted roll with the cheese and condiments also evenly spread on the sandwich. The salad was very fresh. The diner shares it’s space with a thrift store.

I had a ham and cheese…it was like someone pour sugar on it. I couldn’t eat it. My friend had grilled cheese and there was way too much cheese and not enough bread. She took 3 bites and that was it.

Fun place to shop and eat! It’s nice to have a friendly place to pop into Tuesdays- Fridays. The prices are fair and the staff helpful and friendly! Everything was well displayed clearly priced and very neat and tidy!

I love Rowdy Rooster. We use the food bank, which is wonderful, with great food choices, I have also been a volunteer. The people are great with values I admire, Rylee, the manager, is so sweet. She TRULY CARES about Winlock, WA people, and their needs. John and all the board members are GOOD PEOPLE. The thrift store side is fun, and the food in the Bistro is wonderful.

Stopped in and was WOWED by the new remodeled Restaurant and Thrifty Shop. It had been over a year since my last visit, Marilyn gave Carol Wallin a call and Carol joined me for lunch.. My sandwich was out of this world (wish I could remember the name) it was on this marvelous marbled bread. I had to top it off with a hot fudge sunday with whipped cream and a cherry on top. The service was excellent and waitresses so friendly. Everyone’s lunch looked so delicious i wanted to order that next. Friday’s class chowder is by far the best I’ve ever had. If you like clam chowder you won’t regret experiencing Marilyn’s homemade clam chowder. Also the building is odor free from thrift shop odors!!!!! A wonderful hometown restaurant we’ve needed in Winlock for so long.

They run the food bank in the basement and it’s amazingly helpful. The people are all super nice and it definitely helps you get by if you don’t have a lot of money.
