Their food and drink menu is beyond compare – every time I come here I am amazed at the quality and presentation of all the Heart of Gold offerings. I even showed one of the staff a beautiful photo of fancy toast I got here in 2022 and she remembered the menu item !! I love talking to the staff here. Excellent spot. Great happy hour 🙂

Not a bad brunch. Everyone enjoyed their food.
The fried chicken sandwich is very good as a brunch item due to something they put in the batter to make it a bit sweet (cinnamon?).
I respect their sauces. Their buffalo was probably the best I’ve ever had, and the Thai peanut was interesting and delicious.
I wouldn’t go out of my way to come again for brunch, but everyone in my party left happy.

Pros: Big fan of their brunch options! Very clean, spacious, and many seats inside. The waiting staff member we had was their first day and they navigated very well throughout! I liked their brunch drink options and the recommendations were spot on.

The staff is cool, the space is unique, the vibe is casual, and the food is elevated without being pretensious. I appreciate how often they change the menu, always in a way that feels seasonal and fresh while still staying true to their style.
As a sober vegan, I appreciate the options. The mocktails and NA selections are strong. The Old Major beet burger is a favorite staple. They also know how to prepare tofu. I always recommend adding it to any salad or ordering whatever tofu sandwich is on the menu at the time. The banh mi is especially good!
I probably frequent this place more than any other restaurant and recommend it to just about anyone. It is a great spot to meet up with friends or bring out of town guests, and even my nine year old nephew calls it his favorite!

Salad was soupy. There was not pumpkin as expected. Instead of the frittata, I opted for one of the recommended dishes…frozen brunch fries …ehh. Cover everything in the house hot sauce, and hollandaise. It was slow and I still felt as if it was a bother to be there, from the server. I sat at the bar, she never checked on me. I have been coming here since the restaurant first opened, and unfortunately it feels like the experience has done a complete 180. When it first opened, the atmosphere was welcoming, upbeat, and genuinely enjoyable. The one thing that has remained consistently great is the food — it’s still very good, best burger I’ve had I’ve made correctly and it actually comes out on time.
Where things have really fallen short is the service, and more specifically how certain customers are treated. Lately, I’ve noticed a lack of attentiveness and professionalism, particularly toward minorities. I’ve personally seen and heard concerns from other people of color who have felt unwelcome or treated differently while watching others receive noticeably better service right in front of them.
What’s even more disappointing is how management handles concerns. Instead of responding with empathy or professionalism, complaints seem to be dismissed, which is very disheartening.
A restaurant in the heart of Ohio City — a place known for being diverse and a melting pot of cultures — should make every guest feel welcome and respected. I truly hope the management takes feedback like this seriously and works toward creating a more inclusive and professional environment for everyone.

This place is an absolute must-visit for breakfast lovers! The food was incredibly flavorful, with every bite bursting with taste. The mimosa flight was a standout—each flavor was delicious and well-balanced. On top of that, our waitress was super nice and welcoming, making the experience even better. The warm and friendly atmosphere made for a perfect start to the day. Highly recommended!

This place has such an awesome and laid-back vibe! Food was also super good and we would come back again! I got the smash burger which was juicy and well-seasoned. The fries are a must-get if you love crispy and savory fries. My gf got the turkey sandwich which she loved. We shared the brussel sprouts which were also so good.
