Definitely make reservations. We’ve been a four times now, and everything on the menu is spectacular. It’s fun to go in a group so you get to try more items.
Enjoy!!
Looking at their menu ahead of time, I honestly wasn’t super excited about anything in particular. I even had some doubts about going since I’m not usually a big French food person. But l’ve learned that a great chef can make almost anything taste scrumptious and completely unexpected — and that was absolutely the case here.
Drinks: AMAZING.
I had the Gin & Julius, and it was one of the best craft cocktails l’ve ever tasted.
Soup: AMAZING.
I had the French onion, and my friend had the mushroom special. Both were easily “best ever” status.
Salad: AMAZING.
I ordered the beet salad — and I don’t even like beets (Iol). I just felt like I needed some vegetables in my system. OMG. Best ever salad. It’s one of those dishes where a talented chef completely changes your mind about an ingredient. Bravo!
Oysters: AMAZING.
The oyster selection was perfection. They were expertly prepared (fully shucked, no shell bits), and the accompaniments paired beautifully. My favorites were the Prince Edward Island oysters — now tied for my personal “best ever”.
Steak Frites: VERY GOOD.
The steak was perfectly cooked, and the fries were –you guessed it – the “best ever.”
Service: AMAZING.
Very attentive and polished.
I’m so glad I gave this place a chance. I went with a foodie friend, but it would also be a perfect spot for a date or romantic occasion.
My only gripe: They add a 3.5% equity fee for staff. I really dislike when restaurants do this. I’d much rather they simply increase menu prices. That said, the pricing was already very reasonable for the quality you receive.
Overall: The chefs absolutely deserve the James Beard nomination. Make your reservation TODAY!!
The food was excellent. We started with cesar salad, and French Onion soup, then had the salmon, and steak for the main course.
Our wine and old fashion drinks were tasty.
The service and atmosphere were excellent as well.
Beautiful ambience, professional service, food (&drinks) to die for.
We recommend it to everyone. Make a reservation!! You’ll be glad you did.
