EXCELLENT Indian cuisine!!! I ordered the Chicken Biryani and the Cheese Naan. I am very familiar with the dish & the bread. This is some of the BEST I’ve tasted. The spice level being medium was perfect. You get the kick of the spices without it over powering the food.
It’s a small warm inviting restaurant. The staff and owner are very friendly. They serve large portions and it’s GREAT for ordering a few different menu items and sharing. I highly recommend coming here if your in the Downtown Gainesville Georgia area

SUPERB!!!! I enjoyed this so much! This hidden gem is a MUST TRY!!! They have done an excellent job creating a soft and inviting atmosphere, I felt very comfortable here. I can also say 100% the absolute best service 10/10. The food was prepared with care, my mouth has been watering ever since. I cannot wait to return!

We were in town for a regatta competition and staying across the street at the Courtyard, so we were excited to try Sizzling Spices for a convenient dinner. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and the service was friendly and attentive, which made for a pleasant dining experience overall.
Unfortunately, the food itself was just average and didn’t quite live up to our expectations. We ordered the Momo Himalayan Delight, crispy calamari, egg rolls, Vindaloo Lamb, Bengali Goat Bhuna, and the lamb shank biryani. While everything was presented well, the flavors were lacking and felt a bit muted across the dishes. Nothing stood out as particularly memorable, especially given the menu’s promise of bold spices.
Overall, it wasn’t a bad meal, but it also wasn’t impressive. With the good atmosphere and service, we were hoping for more flavor and depth in the food, and left feeling a bit disappointed.

I was in Gainesville for business and searched for an Indian restaurant in the area and found this.
I have to say that i was impressed by everything, starting from how the interior design is curated, from the service and of course from the food.
The atmosphere inside is very relaxing, with dim lights, very low background music.
From the must have items i would suggest the pakora from the appetizers.
As main i tried the chicken tikka masala, the biryani which were always very good.
The naan bread was very soft, fresh and tasty.
There are spice level for all types of people. If you normally eat spicy food, I would suggest starting from medium and then adjust.
I had the pleasure also of speaking with Nigam and Min (I apologize if i misspelled the name) which were extra nice and provided a very good service.
Will visit again for sure whenever i get the chance.

First, the service was outstanding! Very relaxing atmosphere and the smells are amazing. Second and most important, the food!! This is my new favorite Indian food restaurant. The butter chicken was incredible. The Naan regular and garlic were cooked perfectly. Homemade mango ice cream for dessert was the chefs kiss. I can’t wait to come back and tell all my friends.

I was staying right across the street at the Courtyard and was craving Indian food. What a delight it was to find the place. The service was excellent and the food hit the spot. I had garlic naan and panner with fried ice cream for dessert. I was not sure how they would make the fried ice cream but I have to say it was one of the best I have ever had!

A delicious destination. I’ve been coming here since they opened. The food is an excellent alternative to a city filled with burgers, chicken wings, and tacos. They have a spice scale for the dishes so if you don’t want any heat you can go without but you can also turn it up if you like your food biblicaly hot. The food is all fresh and filling I recommend the Momo as an appetizer and the Grandma’s Curry as your main. The owner, Min, is excellent. He is kind and knowledgeable about all of the dishes and he knows everything about sake. If you haven’t yet, you need to check this place out

Literally a diamond in the rough in downtown Gainesville. This little place will knock your socks off.! The food is off the chain, some of the best Indian around and fantastic service. Also, the atmosphere is so pretty. They did such a great job with the space. You really need to check this place out. We found it when we were ordering off of Uber eats, but decided to check it out in person and we’re so happily surprised!
