I remember when HKR opened in the mid ’80s, it was my favorite spot to eat when I was working at the mall. After all these years and many Chinese restaurant samplings later, I find that the prices and quality are still some of the best in the area. No buffet here, but great service and a wonderful variety of food. The quantity of food in each dish is more than enough, and when you dine in, you get a complimentary cup of soup. I got the Szechuan Lo Mein dinner plate that came with an egg roll, fried rice, and fried wontons. Everything was delicious, but I needed a to-go box, lol. It may have taken a while to come back to HKR, but we will be making it one of our regular places to eat.
