Delicious beer and pizza! And, the meat and cheese basket goes perfect with a cold beer. Ingredients on pizza are all very high quality. If I had one suggestion… Add an option for a standard pizza crust. Although I think the whole wheat beer infused crust was delicious, my wife said she would prefer a standard white dough crust. But again… Loved this place and highly recommend.

Visting from out of town. We were attracted to this brewery due to my partners’ love of “weasels” and it was “down by the river”. While it was a bit cool and cloudy to enjoy the river scenery outside, it was wonderfully comfortable inside.
Their seating area is very cozy. Lots of nostalgia inducing photos and memorabilia. It was probably a bit early (around 5pm) so there really wasn’t a crowd. However, this made conversation easy and fun. The bar tender was fun and engaging also.
The beer, their version of an Oktoberfest, was very tasty. We have been on a kick of german style Hefeweizen and Octoberfest and the occasional Christmas Ale. One our favorites is the Hefeweizen from our local brewery, Highgrain Brewery. The Weasel version was close in flavor. We enjoyed several of these. Highly recommended.
Should we return to Zanesville, we will be back.

I’ve been patronizing Weasel Boy Brewing since 2008, and I can say with pure confidence that the quality of the beer has never waned! This is a great, relaxing place to hang out with friends, grab a delicious pizza or salad, and enjoy a variety of delicious, fresh beer! Not only are the owners extremely friendly and hardworking, but they make sure to make you feel like family every visit. There is plenty of seating inside, either at a table if you want a meal, at the bar if you desire a friendly conversation with the bartender and staff, or at the lounge area if you’re looking to sit back and relax. They also have a beautiful outdoor seating area overlooking the Muskingum River. This brewery is a Zanesville treasure! Please support them the next time you want a great evening! You won’t be disappointed.

My first visit to Weasel Boy was several years ago. The only thing I recalled was not being a big fan of the beers I tried. We returned recently and it was a disappointing experience. It started with the less than friendly greeting from the bartender. Despite my best efforts, I couldn’t get him to smile or be the least bit engaging. Having visited over 75 breweries around the state, this guy should not be interfacing with customers. I witnessed another guest ask for a menu. Rather than hand it to him, he slid it on the bar. That’s rude. Other than the Mango Wheat that was okay, the other beers were not to my liking.

Cozy setting inside of an old building. I’m curious what they used the building for beforehand. I got a Mango Wheat beer and found a nice spot to sit out on their patio. The setting was tranquil, and I got to watch the rushing waters of the mighty Muskingum flow by me as the seconds ticked to minutes. Very relaxing

I’m giving this place 3 stars based solely on the Tiki Bar—it was fantastic. The bartender there was knowledgeable, clearly passionate about his craft, and made excellent drinks for both my wife and me. It was the highlight of our visit.
Afterward, we wandered around and noticed the place was pretty empty, likely just a typical weeknight. We stopped by the main bar, where the atmosphere felt completely different. Not a single greeting from the bartender, who seemed indifferent to our presence. It felt unwelcoming, almost like we were intruding.
We ended up sitting along the side bar area, enjoying our drinks, but there was zero engagement from any staff. They walked back and forth from what seemed to be smoke breaks without acknowledging us.
I finished my rum drink and decided to try one of their beers—a stout—but was told it wasn’t available. The bartender had no idea why or when it would be back. With such a small selection to begin with, running out seemed strange and disappointing.
The vibe overall felt off—like a private club or a hangout spot for a select group of regulars. When I finally spoke with the owner about the beer, he casually mentioned it might be available the following week—while eating pizza mid-conversation, which felt a bit unprofessional.
In the end, the whole place gave off a “friends only” atmosphere. If you’re not part of the inner circle, it’s easy to feel out of place. Great drinks at the Tiki Bar, but the rest of the experience left a lot to be desired.

Finally made it back here after years. This was one of the first craft breweries I went to shortly after they opened. I was very excited when their new hours allowed for me to stop in on my way back across the state. The beer is very good. The black IPA is very unique. The scottish ale and brown ale are both delicious. Sadly the staff was cold and indifferent. One complained loudly about having to work. So, I did my part and left. The beer and venue is great. Sadly, the atmosphere spoiled it.

Drove up from Athens for my first visit to Weasel Boy, but it was to the Rum Bar (inside the brew pub) that is open Wednesday and Thursdays from 7-10pm. The owner Jay, mixes tiki drinks that are unparalleled. Huge menu of drinks.
