We were in the area just looking at random places on google to eat and found this place. Im so glad we tried it. The food was delicious. We tried several different rolls, a couple appetizers, and some chicken tenders and fries for our son. Everything was tasty. Even my son’s tenders were actually incredible. The staff was very kind, respectful, and very welcoming. It’s a small place so probably not good for a large group but it was comfortable and had a nice vibe. This was a great dining experience. We will definitely back. I highly recommend you try this place.

So our family ordered food to go which was our mistake. The Edamame was overdone and close to soggy. The Orange Chicken was very difficult to get around. The description says crispy and chunks of chicken breast. There was zero crisp and only tiny pieces of chicken. The sticky rice was truly mushy! We ordered 2 different pizzas that were cold, stone cold. With all of this said, we very slighty warmed up the pizza as not to cook the salmon and crab and was delish, and we loved the truffle crispy rice. The food is tasty so they have that down. The remedy for us is go sit in the restaurant and not choose To Go. We want them to do well and will be back.

Small but mighty is how I describe Sushark, and not in a bad way! The inside is quaint and decorated nicely. The staff are great! The food is the bomb.com! This is my second time back here since arriving to Tampa about a year ago. Today I had Tuna Nigiri (2 pieces), Serrano Salmon Nigiri (2 pieces), and Fire Tuna Roll.

We’ve been ordering from Sushark ever since they opened and now are regulars ever Sunday. We’ve tried almost everything on the menu at this point and EVERYTHING is phenomenal. The flavors and freshness of the fish are nothing like it in Tampa. This is our fav place to get sushi here and for a good reason. They have a cute little dining area that has about 5 tables where you can dine in. The staff is so friendly and Juan Carlos goes above and beyond for you! Some of our favorites are the crispy rice, sushark bites, crazy salmon, fire tuna, parmesan, and swoll role.. but you cannot go wrong with anything. A little on the pricey side but well worth it! We couldn’t rate this place high enough a MUST try in Tampa.

The sushi was a bit underwhelming, especially for the price. The rolls weren’t bad, but they also weren’t anything special — and at $17–$20 per roll, I expected more in terms of flavor.

We ordered 3 appetizers and 3 rolls for two people and spent about $115, which felt high for the overall quality. What was more disappointing was that some menu prices didn’t match what we were actually charged. A few items were $1–$3 more than what was listed, and this wasn’t communicated to us by our waitress.

I got the tsunami roll. I think the interior is super nice, but the prices of the rolls were a lot higher than expected. I also didn’t like how the process to view the menu was through a QR code. They didn’t have any physical menus in the store. This prompts for lack of inclusivity for those who are not tech savvy. The inside also has no acoustics so you hear everyone and their mother’s conversations. I came with a fairly big party and felt apologetic to those who came to dine in after we sat down. My party wasn’t particularly loud, however due to lack of acoustics, our voices did carry. We didn’t get any drinks because the roll itself costs $20~ and that’s already pretty steep for an establishment that’s only catering to aesthetics and presentation.

My girlfriends and I recently tried out the newly opened SUSHARK on S. MacDill Ave, just a few blocks from Bayshore Blvd. It’s a cozy spot in a small plaza next to a laundromat, and while the parking situation was a bit challenging due to limited spots and an uneven lot, the experience was still enjoyable.

Our server, Delaney T., was good. She was attentive to our party of 7 all evening, making sure we were well taken care of. The sushi was fresh and flavorful, with the Fire Tuna Roll being a standout. However, there were a few small details that kept it from a five-star experience. They don’t automatically serve ginger and wasabi on each plate, though it’s provided if requested at no extra charge. Additionally, SUSHARK is currently BYOB, with a single corkage fee, as they don’t yet serve alcohol, though Delaney mentioned that they plan to offer drinks next month—though we’re not sure if that means wine and beer or a full bar.

The restaurant is small, so I’d recommend making a reservation, as tables fill up quickly. Overall, SUSHARK is a great addition to the area, and I’ll be back to enjoy more of their sushi!

Juan was an absolute amazing help ! A mistake happened and my order slipped right by the staff, I showed up to pick up the order 15 minutes before closing and found out it never got processed. Juan insisted that he was going to keep the kitchen open and make the order. This shows the quality and integrity of this business and staff. The food was absolutely fantastic, I will be coming back every time for sushi and recommend everyone to do the same.

Absolutely killer menu. The creative variety in their menu is over the top. From the sushi pizza to cheesy plantains, and truffle crispy rice to almond sushi, entirely unexpected fireworks of flavors. Very very tiny place but absolutely worth the menu. Highly recommended. We will be back for more!
