I fell in love with Middle Eastern & Indian style foods while I was in the middle for 4yrs, so I’m always looking for small restaurants that have that home cooking taste. We drove and hour just to try this place. So heres what I have to say about about Desi’s Kitchen.
Excellent Lamb Biryani and Chicken Seekh, the Vegetable Somasas were very good and full of flavor, I couldn’t taste the rose in the Gulab Jamun but they were very good “perhaps it was all the jalapeño naan I ate which was good” personally the Garlic Naan could use more garlic and butter on it, but that’s just me.
My wife absolutely loved the Garlic Naan, however I will say it was made to perfection on the texture, it was nice and soft and hot when brought to the table !! The service was EXCELLENT and served with a smile !!
The only negative thing I can say about this place was there was only 1 restroom BUT IT WAS VERY CLEAN, the whole restaurant was very clean which WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED !! My wife and I decided the on our next visit we will bring our kids !

Ive been going here for a while and have never been disappointed. I love spicy food and they can deliver. Of course you do have to have spicy. They have recently done some remodeling and it looks great. If you have an appreciation for Indian cuisine this place is for you. Very delicious.

The worst biryani we had today.
The biryani costs $15 & $17 but it couldn’t be served at least for 2 persons for each biryani. The water bottles were charged, and even Raita was charged. The manager behavior was the worst. Just gave extra plain rice, and that thing was also charged, which is not enough for a single person. Even food was worse, too. The pricing for food did not match the quantity. If you’re looking for food with good pricing and quantity, just skip this. This is the worst restaurant in Houston. Waste of money

Restaurant offers delicious, authentic Indian flavors at a very reasonable price. The food tastes homely, portions are generous, and the service is quick. Their biryani, rotis, and curries are especially good. Ambience is simple but clean. Great place for a comforting desi meal.

I had takeout food from here yesterday and was very pleased with the food and the friendliness of the staff! I had chicken tikka masala and the flavors were amazing. The location is a strip mall so I wasn’t expecting great ambiance, but it was quiet and pleasant while I waited for my food to be prepared … just what I was in the mood for.
After looking at some of the past reviews, I almost decided to not eat here, but decided to give it a try and I’m glad I did! The owner was very pleasant, and in chatting with me he explained that after he sold the business a year or so ago, the quality had gone downhill, to the point where he took the business back. He is now restoring it to the former quality. So if you used to like it and quit going here because the quality dropped off, I definitely recommend that you try it again!!!

This restaurant is under new management. The food is superb, the menu $ are comparable. Appetizer $ is definitely below other Indian restaurants. The portions are generous. The staff are friendly.
I am a widower, I don’t cook anymore. This restaurant has a wide selection menu. I can find what I need to compliment my weekly meal plan.
Give them a try, I assure you- you will not be disappointed.

Had dinner at Desi Kitchen Indian Cuisine and everything was excellent. The food was full of flavor and clearly made with care. What really stood out was the customer service—very friendly, attentive, and welcoming staff. A great dining experience overall. Highly recommend.

OMG, this was honestly one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had, and I truly regret ordering from this restaurant. The food was so bad that I’m still shocked at how it was served.
I ordered Manchurian, and what I received was far from the expected Indo-Chinese dish. There were only eight Manchurian balls served over what tasted like ketchup instead of a proper gravy or masala. The texture was very dry, and the dish lacked flavor. I also ordered a dosa, and the sambar was exceptionally thin and watery, with almost no taste. Additionally, all the food arrived cold, giving the impression that it had been previously frozen and reheated quickly rather than freshly prepared.
Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant. The quality, temperature, and preparation of the food were far below acceptable standards. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves both their recipes and food handling practices.

worst experience ever. food was really good, but service was horrendous. asked for 2 waters, got one at room temp when theres a big fridge in the front full of water. also took 15 min to even get the water. food was amazing, however over priced. i have the butter chicken, which comes with rice. the biryani was ok, can get better for better price if i drive a little further.

Found management was changed recently and I hoped food quality was improved guess what it’s not. To try i have Ordered hyd chicken dum biryani and it was stale and no flavor or masala. They have given two pieces of chicken that had barely any meat on it and rice was bland. Never recommending to anyone.
