Food was great but took a while. Based on the conversations I overheard it sounds like one of the cooks abruptly quit. The restaurant was also recently taken over by new owners. Despite that hurdle they did very well. Our server was very nice and apologetic. I appreciated her concern about our wait but it was completely understandable.

I’m glad we took the recommendations to stop here. It’s the kind of little town diner that I like to go to. Knowledgeable and nice wait staff and delicious food. I had the pork tenderloin and it was very good – the pork was tender and the coating was light and flavorful. Another person with me had the chicken sandwich that had been recommended and he said it was as good as advertised – chicken also tender and coating light and flavorful.

Came in to grab a bite to eat on our way to shop in Kalamazoo we like to support loçal small business and we always tip very well. We have never felt so unwelcome I asked the waitress how she was when we walked in she just stared at me we weren’t sure if we needed to pick our seats or not so we decided on a table the waitress had 3 menus in her hand and in stead of offering one or saying anything she walked to the kitchen and we sat down no one greeted us or even spoke a word to us so once we sat down I asked my sister if she wanted to leave and she agreed so we walked out. She felt very unwelcome as well.
