Visited Angelino’s Trattoria for my son’s birthday while we were in from out of town, and we were welcomed like family — the fun kind that actually gets along. Every dish was amazing, but the truffle bags were next-level. I’m still daydreaming about them. Great food, great people, and that perfect cozy Italian vibe that makes you want to stay all night. Easily a six-star experience!
Angelino made sure we were treated well and enjoyed our dining experience. The birthday treats were amazing ! We’ll be back next time we are in town. Thanks Angelino!

I’ve been here before and it’s consistently quite delicious. I ordered the beet salad which I immediately scarfed down before I could remember to take a picture of it. Perfection. Yummy earthy beets, green apple, and crisp lightly dressed lettuce topped with toasted pine nuts. It’s such a dreamy salad. We both ordered the special tonight, the lobster ravioli, and it was pretty tasty. My only minor complaint is that it was a bit too salty. The chocolate cake for dessert sealed the deal. It tasted a bit like Ferrero Rocher. Overall, I’m pleased again, Angelino’s Trattoria!

I love this place. One of the last hold outs of ‘owner operator’, where you feel welcomed and taken care of.
The servers are great, Daisy always puts attention to detail, and Angelino always sends a little something extra for the table. Malik is a great server on top of it all.
Highly recommended.

My parents (my father and stepmother) have lived in LA since I was a kid. I’m from the Midwest, Chicago, and I still remember the first time I went to Angelino’s. It has remained a spot I return to every single time I visit. One of the first things I ask my folks when I’m planning a trip is whether we can make time for dinner at Angelino’s. It’s a charming neighborhood spot in NoHo that is within walking distance from their place. This is the kind of restaurant that makes you feel special.
You can see Angelino himself walking from table to table, talking with diners and building real rapport. He often teases my dad, who is Italian American, asking when he’s finally going to learn Italian. The beauty of this place isn’t only the food, which rivals some of the best meals I’ve had in Chicago, but also the attention to detail, thoughtfulness, and care put into every dish, along with the kindness and generosity of the waitstaff.

Gustavo has been incredible on every one of my visits. He personally makes sure our experience feels magical. When I visited last year, he treated us to a dessert from the pastry chef on the house. This time (we went last night) he brought our family a generous slice of tiramisu that was divine. I can’t thank him enough.

The best way I can show my appreciation is by urging folks in the neighborhood and beyond to make their way to Angelino’s. This isn’t just a restaurant that serves outstanding food in a warm atmosphere; it’s a place that creates memories. It’s an experience. Again, thank you to Gustavo and all of the wonderful servers who took care of us last night. You are all so kind, and I already can’t wait for my next visit.

We celebrated the New Year’s Eve at this restaurant! The chef is also the owner, and the food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was very European, which I sometimes miss living here in Los Angeles. The servers and bussers did an excellent job. I 100% recommend this restaurant! At the end of the dinner, since it was New Year’s, we were gifted a delicious panettone. Thank you for this thoughtful gesture—it was truly appreciated!

I never write negative reviews. I’ve owned retail businesses for years and understand that mistakes happen. I’ve also been coming to Angelo’s for a long time, the owner knows us, which makes this even more disappointing.
To be fair, the food is good, which is why we kept returning. Unfortunately, the billing practices overshadow everything.
Before this visit, friends had warned me to check the bill carefully. I’d let things go in the past, but what happened this time was different.
We ordered two bottles of water and were charged for more. We ordered one salad, and multiple salads were brought without asking, explained as being “for the family.” Even after clearly saying no more water, additional bottles were opened anyway. We felt pressured throughout the meal to accept items we did not order.
When the bill arrived, it included several items we never ordered. We pointed this out, and the owner personally took the bill, stepped away, and changed it in front of us. After saying items were removed, the total actually increased.
We paid the bill to avoid making a scene or embarrassing our family, an extra hundred or two wasn’t worth that, but that doesn’t make this acceptable. When I spoke to the owner afterward, he blamed the waiter, and said I will fire him now, the waiter was just taking orders as we saw it live, so we didn’t believe and knew it wasn’t him. The Onwer was directly involved.
While the food is good, this experience felt dishonest and uncomfortable. Being a long-time customer didn’t change anything. I won’t be returning, and I strongly advise others to review their bill carefully before paying.
