One of my favorite spots to grab a burger when I’m out exploring idaho. Nestled in the small town of New Plymouth Idaho, just east of Ontario near the Oregon border.
Lots of small town atmosphere where the locals gather for a drink and lunch or dinner. The burgers are especially popular.
If you’re lucky when you visit they might have goat roping going on. Yes, I said goat roping. They have a area in the back room where they have a goat roping contest and if you haven’t experienced it, well it’s quite a hoot.
If you like good music, great food and tons of western charm, Give The “Double D” a try.

This used to be “The Place” to go for an amazing steak dinner! Now they make onion rings that are burnt on the outside and slimy on the inside. The owner sits at the bar with their friends getting drunk for free all night and ignoring customers. The place is falling apart and desperately needs a remodel. I don’t know how they can serve food here it’s always filthy. The staff are amazing people, friendly and quick to take your order and come around the bar to make sure everyone has a drink and is doing good. I love the staff and the people who go to this bar. Wish they would bring back the amazing food and remodel the place.

To me it was just like being back in the 50s everybody hanging out around the bar playing pool looking at the chalkboard for music Bingo good food good tri-tip hey this place rocks and there is a waitress there that looks like Julia Roberts what more can you ask for

This took me back to my rural upbringing. This is a small, old, but unique bar/food ‘joint’ and i loved it. The bartender/cook was super friendly and prompt. I did notice that coffee refills were 1.+$ per refill? I wish i hadn’t ordered it now, because i will drink 2 cups, but not for what they charge.

This was our first time and the Double Diamond Saloon. One of our good friends told us about this place and so we had to go check it out. Everyone was friendly, and the service was great. They have goat ropping once a month, and we look forward to checking that out. It is a smoker friendly bar, which I don’t mind the smoke, but I know that’s not for everyone. We will be back again. Highly recommended!

Came through town on a Sunday around lunch time and nothing was open except this bar. I asked if my minor son was able to come in and they said no just the bar is open, I thanked yjem and left. Few seconds later the gal came running out and said hey if you want I can open the steakhouse in back so you can have lunch. They opened the restaurant area just for us and the food was excellent not to mention how sweet they were to accommodate us. Chicken fried burger was soooooo good.
