I arrived at this Subway location around 8:45 PM. Google shows the store closes at 9:00 PM, so I arrived 15 minutes before closing.
The employee on shift refused to serve me, saying she needed to leave before 9 and that the owner would not pay her for working past closing time.

When I said I would leave a review so the owner could see what happened, she responded by showing the middle finger and said I could tell the owner she did that.
This behavior was completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

If a store cannot serve customers during its posted hours, the hours should be updated accordingly. Customer service like this reflects very poorly on the management.

Very unique location. They don’t take coupons and they don’t allow you to scan your subway app. The ONLY subway I’ve been to that does not participate in any subway promotions. Also the only location that does not have a scanner for your app QR code.

Good Food For Thought!
Ordered the Subway’s BMT Foot Long for a lunch date with my:

Been. Along for two hours now trying to reach someone . I bought 3 sandwiches with two of the workers that working on my house and when I went to order cookies they added the lady behind me steak sandwich. I did not notice it u til I got home I did not look at my change so I have been calling the store for two hours and no one will answer and I have them working on my house so I can’t leave. Been calling customer service line also but they tell you to go on a web site and type in this and that. What if I don’t have the internet why not can anyone just answer. But I have both of my receipts and I will be going right back up there as soon as the guy is done for today. This is sad can’t speak to anyone about being charged for a foot long I did not purchase.

Still 1 star. How you going to have an advertisement saying 6.99 for a 6″, add $3 (make it a footlong ) w chips and drink. And try to charge $15. Then blame the register.

normally I do not write reviews, but I have made sure I took my time out today to write a review on this place. I’ve stayed in the downtown Midtown area for 15 years. I have never been so disrespected and felt like my money was not valuable to an establishment other than this place right here. I am one of the most easy-going and most understandable person that I know. This subway did not have anything that I was asking for, but I had no problem making adjustments to the needs of the company. This older lady I believe was the manager or the shift leader Was absolutely rude to me. With that being said, it makes the food service and atmosphere absolutely disgusting considering it is a black on subway. I would love to support my people, but this was absolutely ridiculous. Please do not waste your time going to this subway. There are other subways nearby that I have never had a problem with, please spend your hard-working money on those establishments because this place is not worth it. I hope this post reach as many people as it can so this establishment can either find another business owner or just completely shut down.

One of the staff has pink and blonde hair. I placed my order and it wasn’t what I asked for. The sandwich had a hard piece of chicken in it. The soda wasn’t even a coke. If I could give them a zero I would. I will definitely not stop at this location ever again. The are located at 1645 Poplar Ave., Memphis 38104

I used to love this location so much I would come in twice a week. The people here always used to be friendly, inviting, and would make my sandwich exactly how I liked it without an attitude or complaint. However, good things can not last forever. Other reviewers have mentioned this place has really gone down hill. Now, I drive to the location on Summer.

What you will experience if you order at this location in person now:
* Rude staff that will act like you are asking them to pull out one of their teeth and put it on as a topping when they are making your sandwich.
* When asking for extra of a veggie ingredient, staff will have the attitude like it is coming out of their paycheck or fridge

* Example: I asked for a lot of pickles like a fist full when my sandwich hit the veggie side of the counter. The guy put three pickles one by one on my sandwich and had a look of pain on his face like he had not eaten for a week and was giving his last little bit of food to someone he absolutely despised. When I asked for more the guy put on one pickle at a time until there was like 6 pickles on the sandwich and complaining under his breath as he put the pickles one by one again on my sandwich. When I asked for more again the guy point blank told me he couldn’t and refused to put anymore on there. I had to threaten to walk without paying for or getting my sandwich for him to give me half of what I asked for. Please note: If the company changed its policy to add an extra charge for more pickles I am the type willing to pay a little extra to get what I want, and I asked him nicely each time.

I left emotionally and mentally exhausted by the negativity coming out of this guy and very unsatisfied. Stay away from this location. It is worth driving a couple of extra miles to go to the location on Summer Ave next to the Mexican food truck.
