Overall it was a good visit. The cabbage slaw was fresh and delicious. The eggplant was a bit too sweet. The green beans were cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. The curry was disappointing and lacked depth of flavor. The two chicken dishes my husband ordered were average, a bit under seasoned. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing. Service was good.

Very elegant decoration and the service was great. Food style is similar to P.F.Chang but with better presentation. The (Hong Kong style) beef chow fun is too oily for my taste. The egg plant dish and the sweet & sour spare rib are nicely made. Be aware that the portion is not as large as typical Chinese restaurant.

I visited this restaurant recently and was impressed with the overall service experience. There was no wait, plenty of seating available, and the staff made me feel welcomed right away. The service was top notch—our server was friendly and attentive, though the check-ins were spaced a bit far apart. I ordered the Pad Thai and the Kung Pao Chicken. While both dishes were decent, I’ve had better versions at other restaurants, so the food didn’t stand out as much as the service did. Overall, a pleasant dining experience, especially if you value a smooth seating process and warm service.

5 stars for the ambience and service. Great wines. Taste n eat. Welcoming staff. Shrimp over crab starter is amazing. Portion size is not great. Priced rite as well. Corn chicken soup is not the typical sweet corn soup. Wagyu beef fried rice has just the rite flavors. If you are looking for a place take your better half on a date in this area pick this one

Absolutely perfect experience. This is a must try for Livermore. I’d recommend going for more of the entree style dishes like the sea bass, and avoid family style pricing because the dish quality can drop (though it’ll still be better than most restaurants.) Tonight I’ve had the har gau, sea bass, and salted carmel gelato, highly recommend all of these options. Perfect for large parties and date nights alike.

This restaurant is an excellent choice for a date night, offering attentive service and delicious food. My only minor critique is that a few dishes didn’t quite hit their full flavor pot

Very nice higher end restaurant. Dinning inside looked fancy and higher end. Outside patio was cool and a more relaxed atmosphere. Food was GOOD. Fancy Asian food and enough to share all around. The old fashioned drink was also really good. Not cheap but worth the cost.

An upscale environment and food experience. All the food we ordered was excellent. The Peking Duck Spring Rolls were exceptional. Are service was great and the environment was lively and sophisticated. Definitely a more “big city” feel. It did get a bit loud in the dining room which was fine for us but if it was a first date or someone had issues with hearing it might be a bit much. However we enjoyed vibrant Saturday night atmosphere.

I have been meaning to write my review of Uncle Yu’s. I have been going to Uncle Yu’s for many years now. I started going to their location that used to be in San Ramon (Now Long gone for many years)
Anyway, I have been to the Livermore many times and I’m surprised I haven’t written a review before now. Almost 5 Stars actually but I used to love their Chinese Chicken Salad but something has changed with their dressing. Not as sweet and savory but still good – not great anymore. Their other dishes are really good.
We celebrated my birthday recently and had a really good meal with great service. This restaurant does get busy, so make a reservation
We started with Chinese Chicken Salad (like I said earlier good not great any longer) Sweet & Sour Pork (Good Flavor & not too saucy), Yu Shang Eggplant (Fantastic Dish) General Tao’s Chicken (really good dish we thought) , and Singapore Noodles (Nice Flavor made with Curry but not overpowering). Nice meal!!
Then they surprised me with a Birthday Treat (that was really unexpected) but a nice Sweet Treat to cleanse the palate and end our meal.
I recommend going here if you are in the area.
