I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the Japanese restaurant Kaizen at Crans, Valais, Switzerland. The atmosphere is cosy fancy and the food is of very high quality standard. In particular, they have 10 different options of sea urchins specialties and also lots of caviar-based specialties. The dessert was also quite good while not entirely Japanese. Highly recommended.

We tried this cozy japanese resto few weeks ago which is located in the heart of Swiss Alps, Crans-Montana. Everything was perfect and exquisite, from the food they serve to how warm they treat us since we got in.
The food was incredibly delicious. We tried some Nigiris and Rolls and they were all fresh and so good. We ordered also some of their hot plates and starters and everything was flavorful.
The restaurant offers a very classy and warm atmosphere with a beautiful view of Alps mountains.

Good restaurant. Wasn’t able to get a reservation online because they were completely booked for the evening. My hotel Conceirage was able to make it happen which was nice. The patrons there are totally pretentious which made for an interesting evening. Kind of hilarious but was more evening entertainment.
Food was great would come back if ever in the area again. Staff was nice, plating was good.

I spent a week in Switzerland with a friend some weeks ago and visited the japanese restaurant Kaizen, in Crans Montana.
The whole experience was AMAZING, from the location (beautiful views from the restaurant windows) to the excellent food.
The dishes are very creative and presented delicately and impeccably, such as the dry ice sashimi. Everything was so yummy.
We even went twice and no doubt I would go again.
Friendly and professional staff.
Totally recommended. A MUST-visit in Switzerland and Crans Montana

It was a great time to spend time in Kaizen. Was the busiest season but we had a surely good time, thank you. I strongly recommend to go now in this winter while hon-maguro is available which must be really difficult for even Japanese to taste in Japan. Thank for the restaurant that satisfied my nostalgia since I cannot go back to Japan for this pandemic.
