They have Filipino breakfasts here. I was pleasantly surprised when you can order longsilong (sweet pork sausages) that are sweet and tender over garlic rice and egg. One of my favorite breakfasts to have. Every time I visit Sacramento/Woodland California, I make it a point to visit this cafe which is located inside the Cache Creek Casino. They have a great selection of other dishes but I go there for the Filipino dishes. Besides having a great breakfast you can relax and play a little. They do have a great ride to the casino and plenty of activities. Highly recommended!

Stopped by Canyon Cafe after realizing that .ost of the other restaurants had closed or were getting ready to close.
Waiting about 30 minutes for a table. Once the table was ready I was prompted seated. When the waitress arrived, I placed an order for the Ribeye steak dinner with a side of country potatoes, mashed potatoes, and ordered a drink from the bar through her. I was hoping that the drink would arrive first before the food, but it didn’t work out that way.
The steak was alright, but was slightly underseasoned. Luckily they dropped off some A1 sauce and salt was readily available at the table.
For dessert I tried their Chocolate Lava Cake with Ice Cream. Sadly by the time that it made it to my table, the cake was hardly lukewarm and no where near what I was expecting since the cake was described to have a “molten” center.
Overall Canyon Cafe is okay if you’re looking for simple comfort foods or when most of the other restaurants in the casino are closed.

Worst food I have had in a long time. The ribeye steak ordered medium was extremely thin dry and tough. Garlic mashed potatoes had no garlic flavor and were extremely watered down. The Alfredo pasta was lacking in flavor. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. Do the buffet or any other place here

We got there and a guy (Hispanic) and girl (african american)
were standing there. The guy looked at us and I said hello seating for 2 he looks at girl and walks away. Girl grabs 2 menus lead us to table and leaves no hi, how u doing? nothing. Next our waitress comes tall (latino) girl takes out order. No greeting like hello my name is so and so. Nothing. When I would say thank you no your welcome. Again nothing. There was a lady standing at back against the wall by entry to kitchen and I asked her for bbq sauce she proceeded to walk toward kitchen and tell I’m assuming our waitress loudly they want BBQ sauce and then walked back to the wall she was holding up doing nothing. One guy(white) did pass by and ask us how we were doing. The food is good especially their steak sandwich but the service sucks!. It’s like they hate they job and act like your bothering them just being there. They are very rude and no personality. I’m not expecting a song and dance but some form of customer service is appreciated. I really felt like not tipping but still tipped 11 dollars on a 55 dollar bill. By the way it was not busy there was only one other couple eating in restaraunt and the only reason I’m indicating their ethnicity is because I’ve don’t have their names and if management reads this maybe they will know who I’m taking about. This backend on Sunday around 4:15p.m.

Upon arrival we were waiting for a few minutes.. as workers were walking by and made no eye and just kept on n ignoring us. Finally someone showed up and sat us at a table in the middle section. We waited for about 10 mins before someone approached us for beverages. The place where we sat smelled really bad so I assume it wasn’t cleaned properly. The waitress in the other station was very rude to her table who were elderly. Even tho she wasn’t our server she was very rude to them. The service is really bad here. As a casino who does pretty well for themselves u guys really need to work on the service in the restaurant and the cleanliness.

Yesterday, our lunch waitress was fine with my companion but must have disliked something about the way I looked, though I wasn’t scantily clad or wearing anything offensive. Before I spoke, she frowned at me. After we got our food and thanked her, she left or table, I told my companion that I should’ve gotten a cup of soup, instead of a bowl, because it was more than I’d expected, but I was able to finish, after all. The waitress must’ve heard me and been offended that I’m a light eater; when she came to collect the dishes, she turned to my companion, pointed toward me and said, “See, she was able to finish it.” Her rudeness has been bothering since then, but I was willing to give the restaurant another try, this morning. I thought I could grin and bear being there, if we could get a different server, this morning. Thank goodness that she wasn’t there, and we got to be served by a gracious gentleman named Francisco. Francisco was sweet in taking a knee to hear a soft-spoken customer’s order, and I could see that he helped all of his people at his tables with charm and elegance.

Most restaurants at cache creek are impossible to be seated at then maybe try this place first as the last resort. The turnaround time is half the waiting time of other restaurants. Large sections of dishes and the best part for us to date was that their servers are the friendliest.
