Eating at Cícero is like dining at an art gallery, but not at all pretentious. The pieces on the walls (and the ceiling) are key to the identity and story of the restaurant, which the staff will happily take you though.

The food is creative and delicious with a Brazilian, French, Portuguese fusion that doesn’t sound like it should work but comes together beautifully. I had the tasting menu and appreciated how the presentation lets the food speak for itself rather than each course being set out like a diorama. The wine pairings were excellent and I’d recommend the 7 wine pairing over the 5 as the extra 2 suit their dishes much better.

The price point is a a little higher than average for restaurants in the area and so is the quality and skill that goes into each plate.

Atmosphere – Modern classical and relaxed.

Much like the art, you’ll find everything from the tableware to the music has been well curated here.

It was kind of one time in life experience for me. I recently visited Cícero in Baixa Lisboa, and it was honestly one of the most delightful restaurant experiences I’ve had in the city. From the moment you walk in, you can feel that this place is truly special. The concept is unique and beautifully executed—a perfect fusion of Brazilian cuisine with elegant French and Portuguese influences.

The food was outstanding from start to finish. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, full of flavor, and presented like a piece of art. You can clearly feel the chef’s creativity and passion in every bite. Even the little details were impressive—especially the pre-dessert, which was absolutely to die for. It was such a pleasant surprise and set the perfect tone before the final dessert. A small touch, but one that made a huge impression.

The ambience deserves special mention. The paintings on the walls are true masterpieces and give the space so much character and soul—it feels like dining inside an art gallery with amazing food.

The service was exceptional. Every single staff member was warm, friendly, and genuinely attentive, making us feel welcome and cared for throughout the evening. A very special shout-out to Gabi (Gabriella)—she was absolutely fantastic. Professional, kind, attentive, and always smiling. She truly elevated the entire experience.

Overall, Cícero is not just a restaurant, it’s an experience—creative cuisine, beautiful art, and heartfelt hospitality all coming together perfectly. If you’re in Lisbon and looking for something memorable in Baixa, this place is a must-visit. I can’t wait to come back and highly recommend it to everyone!

Delicious meal. Thoughtful staff that walked you through the sources of inspiration for each dish (loved learning about the Brazilian ingredients at the heart of each course). Dishes as artful as the artwork that adorns the walls. A warm space with s- team that is clearly passionate about the food they make, and the people who walk through the door. Thank you especially for the care shown to our elderly grandmother. She raved all the way home!

The service was impeccable, from the warm welcome to the last good bye, we were well attended to throughout our dining experience. It was difficult making a choice from the exquisite menu, in retrospect we should have consulted our servers for a more varied selection. The food did not disappoint, we stayed mostly with seafood and now I can’t help by wonder about the other options. Excellent wine selection! Being surrounded by the beautiful artwork creates an overall superb dining atmosphere

Great food, fresh, innovative and brilliantly cooked and presented; impeccable service, professional, friendly; wonderful decor and art pieces. Tables slightly too close to each other and staff at times too present, but that’s a detail. Only negative point: low value for money ie too expensive for Lisbon standards, even for upscale restaurants. Enjoyed it, but won’t be coming back.

We came to Lisbon on vacation and I wanted to surprise my mother with a hypothetical excellent dinner at Cicero. Unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming. My mother, who is lactose intolerant, chose the three-course tasting menu, while I went for the eight-course version. The main issue here was that her portions were exactly the same size as mine, but they told me that mine were obviously smaller so I could try all the 8 dishes.
Since she couldn’t eat any of the three desserts offered, she was given just a “pre-dessert” as a substitute and THAT IS FINE but the real problem is that they could at least made her portion bigger since it was the size of a spoon and we paid the full course anyway. She literally watched me eat and finished her dinner still feeling hungry.

As for the food, the flavors were fine, but nothing particularly memorable. What shocked us most was that while we were still eating dessert, the chefs and the head waiter, clearly visible in the open kitchen, just packed up and left—without even say a word to us, not even a “bye”. Keep in mind, there were only two tables dining that night and we were left alone with only the waiters at 22:00. I don’t think this is the right way to treat your customers, especially when they’re spending a significant amount of money on a dinner (170€ without wine).

The only truly positive note: our waitress, who was kind and very professional.

The place was cozy and elegant. The food was magnificent: very well cooked and prepared, the presentation was beautiful and every flavor was very well combined – the result was fantastic. The mixture of the French and Brazilian references translated a passion for food and absolute control. The service was nice, with know-how about every moment. The wine was also good.
One of the best spots in Lisbon for dinner.
To come back for sure.
