The food is creative and delicious with a Brazilian, French, Portuguese fusion that doesn’t sound like it should work but comes together beautifully. I had the tasting menu and appreciated how the presentation lets the food speak for itself rather than each course being set out like a diorama. The wine pairings were excellent and I’d recommend the 7 wine pairing over the 5 as the extra 2 suit their dishes much better.
The price point is a a little higher than average for restaurants in the area and so is the quality and skill that goes into each plate.
Atmosphere – Modern classical and relaxed.
Much like the art, you’ll find everything from the tableware to the music has been well curated here.
The food was outstanding from start to finish. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, full of flavor, and presented like a piece of art. You can clearly feel the chef’s creativity and passion in every bite. Even the little details were impressive—especially the pre-dessert, which was absolutely to die for. It was such a pleasant surprise and set the perfect tone before the final dessert. A small touch, but one that made a huge impression.
The ambience deserves special mention. The paintings on the walls are true masterpieces and give the space so much character and soul—it feels like dining inside an art gallery with amazing food.
The service was exceptional. Every single staff member was warm, friendly, and genuinely attentive, making us feel welcome and cared for throughout the evening. A very special shout-out to Gabi (Gabriella)—she was absolutely fantastic. Professional, kind, attentive, and always smiling. She truly elevated the entire experience.
Overall, Cícero is not just a restaurant, it’s an experience—creative cuisine, beautiful art, and heartfelt hospitality all coming together perfectly. If you’re in Lisbon and looking for something memorable in Baixa, this place is a must-visit. I can’t wait to come back and highly recommend it to everyone!
Since she couldn’t eat any of the three desserts offered, she was given just a “pre-dessert” as a substitute and THAT IS FINE but the real problem is that they could at least made her portion bigger since it was the size of a spoon and we paid the full course anyway. She literally watched me eat and finished her dinner still feeling hungry.
As for the food, the flavors were fine, but nothing particularly memorable. What shocked us most was that while we were still eating dessert, the chefs and the head waiter, clearly visible in the open kitchen, just packed up and left—without even say a word to us, not even a “bye”. Keep in mind, there were only two tables dining that night and we were left alone with only the waiters at 22:00. I don’t think this is the right way to treat your customers, especially when they’re spending a significant amount of money on a dinner (170€ without wine).
The only truly positive note: our waitress, who was kind and very professional.
One of the best spots in Lisbon for dinner.
To come back for sure.
