There is nothing like supporting local. But when that local place also has heart and great food it is unmatched. I reached out in hopes to surprise a friend with some of their famous food and the response was quick and friendly. I soon came to learn so much more about them as people and business owners. They live a full busy life and support animals. Now who could ask for anything more!! The food was amazing and hit the spot for my friend who just complete his cancer treatment. Jer and Draya are amazing humans wonderful cooks. Thank you does not say enough.

What a great place!
I found it when I Googled “Best reuben in Cedar Rapids” and the Old Neighborhood Pub came up.
After reviewing the menu, I ultimately landed on the Cubano and OMG it was SO good. This sandwich was better than most Cuban sandwiches I’ve had (having lived in FL for 20 years). It has all of the ingredients and authentic flavors of a classic cuban and made with generous portions.
Beyond the food. It’s a nice spot. The decor, atmosphere and service were welcoming and wholesome.
I’ll be back soon to get after that reuben soon!

Had to park on the street.
Fryer was down… no fries or onion rings.
Steak sandwich not available.
So I had the Reuben with a salad. Reuben was very good.
Check out was delayed due to a computer issue.
It was cold 10F outside and not so warm inside…I was wearing a sweater and added my wool scarf.
I have no clue how this restaurant has a 4.7 rating.
Definitely not on the list for a return or recommendation for friends.

I feel like this is a little hidden gem in Cedar Rapids. The staff is always great, the room feels comfortable and lived-in, and the food is unreasonably good every single time! I have played here with my band a handful of times and we always have a great experience. I’d happily recommend this place to anyone looking for a drink and delicious sandwich in the Cedar Rapids area.

We went early so a smaller crowd; likely much busier later. A fairly typical Midwestern “corner bar with food” however the food was excellent and a wide choice of tap beers with a nice Happy Hour option. Recommend!! (Kind of a hidden gem, with great service too.) We had wings and onion rings, and the daily special BBQ pulled pork and sweet potato fries.

Cool chill spot in the old neighborhood. Working class good time. Great food. High quality local ingredients. Awesome breakfast and bloody Mary’s. Good beer selection and NA spirts as well. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Always moving forward always renovating and looking good. Friendly fun staff and killer lunch specials.

It’s like Cheers. Just a super nice, friendly neighborhood pub with delicious food. Drink selection is very good including non alcoholic drinks and other varieties. They are super inviting and involved in the community. Live music, comedy and other events at scheduled times.

UPDATE- stopped again Sunday, it was busy with folks watching the games and a band, we sat down the waitress walked over, she remembered us, told us where we sat the first time, and remembered our drinks! WOW can’t wait to go back…. Service, food, & experience were all stellar…. ORIGINAL POST-Cedar Rapids-we were looking for a new non-chain place tonight, what a gem this place is, food is great (I had a bacon cheese burger (ONP Burger) & o-rings, Carol had the Ruben & parm fries)- delicious. Atmosphere is pretty cool vibe, only thing better than food & atmosphere was the service, she was fantastic; she was busy yet very aware of all her tables and customers. Price point was very reasonable, we will definitely be back. Oh yeah we had pretzels bites too there were enough for 4 people!

This is a breakfast place you will not want to miss! The potato dippers are unique and cooked to perfection. Omelets are large and flavorful. The hash bowl was amazing! I had ham in my bowl, she had pork belly in her omelette, both were amazing!!!
