Curious Goods at The Bake Oven Inn is a really cute spot, a converted home turned into an intimate restaurant with maybe 20 tables. From the moment we arrived, the service was attentive and thoughtful, with clear attention to detail.
We dined on New Year’s Eve, so the menu was pre-determined with about 4–5 choices per course. The drinks were tasty, though a bit on the pricey side—still, we enjoyed several. They were also happy to accommodate a drink request that wasn’t on the menu, which was a nice touch.
Overall, the food was good, the atmosphere was charming, and the experience felt special.

One of my favs!!! Never had a bad meal! It’s a very quaint and calming dinning experience. The complementary rosemary bread backed in a ceramic pot is delicious. Servers are always polite and promote. Food is fresh and locally grown and sourced. The menu varies depending on the season and hours of operation are limited so check their socials for the most updated and make a reservation. You will not regret it!

Visited this place based on recommendation from a coworker and the reviews. Pulling up I wasn’t sure of I was at the right place. It’s an old house turned into a restaurant. It’s dated inside and out but I like places like this.
The staff was very polite and friendly.
The food presentation was very appealing.
We had the app off the daily specials, clams in a curry in a curry sauce which I never heard of. It was delicious, so too was the crab stuffed peppers.
The shrimp risotto had great flavor and my steak was cooked to the correct temp and had great flavor.
This place reminded me of the savory Grille so I’ll have to add it to the rotation.
Overall it was a great experience.

We came here for Christmas Eve dinner, which I’ve looked forward to all year. They had a neat Dicken’s inspired menu. I loved all the options. The service was friendly and good and the food was fresh and tasty. Cute atmosphere in an old little inn. Definitely recommend checking this hidden gem out!

We went here for Christmas Eve dinner and it was so good! The service was be attentive, right down to swapping out silverware for each course. The drinks were balanced and the food was exceptional. Portions were larger than expected, so we had to take some home. Cannot say enough about this hidden gem!

Update: Nestled in Pennsylvania farm country, nearly five years later, this gem continues to be our favorite farm to table gormet restaurant. It’s worth the travel for city dwellers.
Original Post: My husband and I recently moved back to the area and were super excited to see Curious Goods close by. A gem right down the road. Farm to table deserving of viral acolades. Surrounded by farms, grazing cows, and fields of corn, a person can see and smell that they’re destined to support several local businesses with one meal. Curious Goods serves guests in an old farmhouse, with a country garden and fish pond out front.
Our favorite dish is Beaf Steak Tomatoes stuffed with warm, creamy goat cheese, lightly fried crowning the jucy berries with a crisp crust on a bed of arugula. Please dance a wedge through fragrant basil infused olive oil before taking your bite. This appetizer defined our first experience, but our entrees were delicious as well. We will return.
***A full bar is available with an extensive beer selection, varried wine list, and signature cocktails.

Such a hidden gem in the Germansville area! The quality of the food is outstanding— locally sourced ingredients with amazing taste and flavor combinations. Have tried almost everything on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. The wait staff and the environment are warm and welcoming, as well. Make a reservation so you get a table… well worth it!
