WILL NOT BE COMING BACK
I’ve been here twice. The first time was with my wifey when we first met. We had a good time then. The second time was about a year later with wifey again but when I saw my bill I determined it would be our last time. I ordered a margarita with don julio reposado and shot of grand marnier. Wifey settled for a lemon drop because they couldn’t do a white russian. Got the bill…THE BARTENDER CHARGED ME $32 FOR THE MARGARITA!!! $32!!!!!! BRUUUHHHH!!! For some margarita mix?!
As a former bartender who learned to make premium margaritas with fresh lime juice & agave…you wouldn’t be charged more than $16 for that drink. Shorty had the audacity to say she gave me a discount. I didn’t even argue because at that moment I decided that would be the last time they get my money. Truth be told, wifey and I only really came here to get some suya from Suya Factory and got a drink while they were setting up (follow them on IG: suyafactorydmv for some AMAZING food). But as for this spot…it’s a dub for me.

Ordered only delivery at this place so I can’t speak on anything other than the Food and their Communication/Management.
I LOVE their Okra stew with Fufu. The beef is usually tender and the stew tastes like home (with extra oil though). My only issue is their management seems HORRENDOUS.
Their listed times aren’t always accurate. They list as available for delivery (which is very inconsistent by the way) but then cancel the order randomly after it was in the “Preparing Food” stages for 20+ minutes…
“Okay well go pick it up!” I try to but when you try to call (multiple times mind you), no one picks up. Based off the other reviews as well, I think they are not managing this business very efficiently. It doesn’t matter if the food is decent if it’s barely available.
I would honestly recommend going to Roger Miller nearby for a WAY higher quality experience in both food and management.
The 3.9 rating is clearly because the experience was better YEARS ago

Not worth a trip. Don’t get me wrong. The atmosphere is very nice but customer service and food is not good. We went there to taste the suya but were disappointed. There is more onions than meat and the few small cubes of meat that was in there wasn’t tasty at all. Suya plate was $9.99 with no side . We paid extra for the plantains. Bar side is dusty and unorganized.

Just ordered Uber eats from here. I got the Suya and Yuka , along with the 1-4th fish with plantains. Definetly a 3/5. Suya was a very small portion and looks like it was sautéed in a pan. That’s not how you make Suya. Plantains were nice, fish was okay. Would not order from here again.

Overpriced food. They say their Mexican crab elote dish is LUMP crab but it’s all claw meat. Very bright lights which gives it a cafeteria feel with nightclub music. Servers are great though

This is some of the best African food that I’ve ever had outside of Africa! Always delicious Every time! It’s one of the rare places that I eat at regularly. I am super picky about my food, and Im NEVER disappointed. The Suya is amazing, and always delicious. There’s a seasoning that they put on it, that is out of this world! I dislike spinach & vegetables in general, but this place makes them so delicious that I order them every single time! The Jerk Wings are fantastic as well. You can’t go wrong with the food here. 5 stars!

Food was good! Came here to get suya and the guy at the door said everyone had to pay 10 dollars just to walk inside. I stood there while he stamped people he ‘knew’ – all 15 people. Just not my 2 girl friends and I. That’s disrespectful and a MONEY GRAB. The security, David, saw what happens and got the manger involved so we got in in the end ! My rating is for the security and Manager the guy at the door tonight needs to GO! Does not care about the business only pride.
