Rincon which means corner is the pefect spot for coffee, teas and special dirnks like our Oaxaca mocha and Italian sodas. Our artisan Mexican market is a must see! Our home cooking combines the flavors of Mexico, the Mediterranean and Caribbean. As home of Don Juan’s tamales we serve tamales all year round. Try our Hatch green chile cheese or red pork and our pineapple tamales. Housed in an historical building dating back to 1856, our wooden beams and volcanic stone fireplace makes for a special gathering among friends. We also provide outdoor seating in our patio.

To top off this already wonderful experience our food was brought out to us, we ordered a Chai Latte and a London fog (with lavender) both these drinks were made with exceptional care. We also ordered a carrot cake and a churro, my husband who is a self proclaimed carrot cake officionado said that the cake was spectacular! My churro was fresh made and it was served with dulce de Leche on the side, I hadn’t has a churro in a while and this beautiful delicious creation absolutely hit the spot!
The staff were all so friendly, the gentleman who i believe is the owner/manager was so friendly and lovely to chat with! He claims that they have the best tamales in town, I can’t wait to go back and see if he is right!
little side of onions, a seemingly unassuming addition that brought a burst of freshness and the ideal texture to the meal. Each bite was the best blend of flavors and textures– a true testament to chef Mariana Veleta’s attention to detail. The ambiance at Rincon de Mesilla was warm and inviting, with the rustic charm of a Mexican cantina. The staff, attentive and knowledgeable, made us feel like we were their only guests.
I will definitely return to this one of a kind place and bring my friends!
We had their Chile Relleno and their Cuban Picadillo
