Had some great food at Kuya Walds in College Station. Caldererta, Beefsteak, and lumpia Shanghai are on point what you would get in the Philippines. Very tasty and generous portions!
The restaurant is clean and comfortable. The servers are also friendly and helpful.
If you are in the area pay them a visit!

Food was amazing. I ordered the lumpia Shanghai, and the beef tappas. Both items tasted great and were delivered in a timely manner. Perfect for a 45 min lunch break

First time trying Filipino food. Very good spring rolls, and the pancit bihon guisado (stir fried noodle dish) was surprisingly good with comfort-food flavors.

Very nice service, a bit slow but it was because there isn’t a lot of staff. The stew was worth the wait, the pork adobo was good flavor but a bit dry. I recommend the beef kare kare and the beef paries for savory flavor.

Really good quality Filipino food and good service.
Bicol express meat is very well cooked. We ordered mild spicy but I believe you can still order the spicy level and still enjoy it.
Halo-halo’s presentation is really nice and it has ripe jackfruit! ❤️

Pros: large variety on menu, delicious food, comfortable seating, clean bathrooms, great staff
Cons: really painfully slow service, halo halo doesn’t have many toppings/add ins.
Their pork binagoongan was fantastic! So flavorful and full of the best kind of fatty pork ! Their chicken afritada on the other hand was quite bland; my friend had an upset stomach, so it was perfect for him. For the halo halo, they just opened a can of mix (that you can get at any Asian grocery) and dumped ground ice over it, a tiny scoop of ice cream, and added some purple food color instead of ube–that was really disappointing.
Still, I would definitely recommend this place for their savory food. It’s some amazingly good Filipino and totally worth the wait

Wow. This is authintic Filipino food from region of Paniqui, Philippines! My husbands father is from there. The food is so so delicious from the beef caldereta, chicken pancit, lechon and lumpia were prepared better than any Filipino restaurant I’ve been to. In south San Diego, Ca there is a restaurant called “Titas” kitchenette and that for many years was hands down a family favorite until today. Thrilled we found an amazing Filipino restaurant today at Kuya Walds! Great customer service, all around super satisfied.

This place is 100% authentic Filipino food ran and cooked by Filipinos. I got the go to most common dish chicken adobo, it’s a little sweet and savory chicken braised served with a side of rice. If it’s your first time with Filipino food, try chicken adobo. My friend got the skewers although the price might be a little high it’s totally worth the money.

I was happy to learn that there’s a Filipino restaurant in town. We went there for dinner. Food was fresh and delicious. They charge $4 for extra rice. We’ll be back to try their other dishes.

One of the best authentic Filipino restaurants here in town! Amazing staff as well. I highly suggest the Calamari, Bistek Tagalog and Halo-Halo for dessert!
