Wow. I think this place has changed ownership. This used to be the gem of Belmont. Now it’s the embarrassment of it.
The food was inexcusable. The dough wasn’t just “a little undercooked” — it was raw. Gummy, sticky, and doughy in the center like it had barely seen the oven. This isn’t a minor slip. This is basic quality control completely missing.
Calling to place the order was the first red flag. The person who answered had music blasting so loudly I could hardly understand him. I had to repeat myself several times. When I told him I was at a well-known location two doors down, he had no idea where that was and asked for the full address — which is concerning for someone handling local deliveries.
Then, without warning, he said delivery would be an hour and a half… and immediately hung up before I could respond or cancel. No confirmation. No professionalism. Just click.
This place used to be dependable, friendly, and worth recommending (enthusiastically!) Now it feels chaotic, careless, and completely indifferent to the customer experience. Belmont deserves far better than this level of decline.
I order a pizza tonight and indicated on the order that half of the pizza needed to have less cheese. The pizza was a veggie pizza that was supposed to have vegetables on the WHOLE pizza, instead there all thrown to one side. I have never had such a bad pizza as I did here. Not only were the vegetables not evenly distributed the bottom crust was like mush and so thin that you could not pick it up to eat.
I don’t mine paying for a good pizza but this was not at all worth $31.00. The attached photo is of the pizza I received tonight. No more chances here.
Btw – the ordering system is ez too. Hope you like it
Also this has been a consistent issue Joe’s has had the last few month and no coincidence, owners changed during that time.
I shared their post about lunch specials a while back, but I’d never tried them. After driving by to pick up my son from school for two years, I decided that today was a great day to give it a go!
We got an early dinner with a small pepperoni pizza, a small supreme w/o ham or sausage (it’s a cheaper version than building your own with everything else that comes on it), a large veggie pizza, garlic knots and the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls.
Everything was fresh and delicious! Great char to the crust, great flavor, real bacon, spicy pepperonis, just overall great tasting food. Crust is a thinner crust that’s crunchy and chewy in all the right places. I’d only enjoy more cheese, but it’s a solid pizza.
The garlic knots weren’t my fave, I like a little more yeasty doughiness, but the marinara is money!
The egg rolls could use some onion and green pepper, but they were flavorful-a little over cooked, but good.
I live off Union/Armstrong, and everything was still piping hot when it got home.
This is our favorite pizza so far. And, we’ve tried a few.
