This is a great bakery. Pignoli cookies beyond DELISH…
but I was appalled by the way the female manager treated her fellow employees. Screaming and disrespecting them in from of customers. I have been here before. Those employees are beyond wonderful even during the busiest of holidays. Authority and a title does not give you the right to disrespect. Kindness is deserved by all, especially your fellow humans/employees. I will be contacting the owner.
I did contact the owner as the review implies below. He fluffed it off as kidding among “friends”. That was not friendship but borderline abuse. And I did verify it was the manager while in the store! Obviously these employees are not supported. Sad as they are kind hard working humans.

I been coming to this bakery since I was a little kid and I still do as an adult I’m in there at least once a month I always get their chocolate towers and cannolis and I had a bungalow cake for my birthday cake this year and it really was the best cake I had in recent time. Also the workers are very kind and patient as I figure out what I want since there is such a big selection to choose from. Thank you for being such a great staple in this community!

I am at Abrosia Bakery weekly. They have delicious fresh breads, cookies, Pastrys, Pies and deli. The staff are welcoming and helpful. Im so glad I live in the area. I would recommend this bakery.

Like most bakery’s this one had lots of cakes and other sweets, but what really stood out to me was their extensive options of stuffed bread and affordable options for beautifully pre-decorated cakes! The parking lot is pretty small and tight, but there is parking available.

Visited Connecticut this past week and this bakery was amazing!!! Loved the mini cannoli, cookies, bagels, cheese Danish, etc. Ordered a bunch of stuff to bring home so I can enjoy a few more days 🙂

We found a melted bit of plastic in our cake. A result, maybe, of someone accidentally dropping their hair clip? I don’t know. We returned to confront management and were told to “prove it”. Upon return, the owner seemed intent on placing the blame at our feet and never entirely admitted to any fault. I’m not sure if they were implying we planted the plastic…in our own cake? But management was unwilling to hear any of it and assured us there would be no refund for a partially eaten item.
I expected an apology and a free replacement cake, not a refund. But we got neither.
Apparently management has been replaced by grubby, rogue swindlers. They’re definitely coasting on the reputation that Ambrosia has for Milford residents. I doubt they’ll see growth, as poor management spreads like infection until the body is septic.
Hopefully anyone who sees this will deprive them of your business, as there are better bakeries and respectful owners you can support elsewhere.

Walked in no other customers in the place. I asked for a sandwich and was told it would be 20 min because the deli person was working on a phone order.so i left – walk in customers should take priority over phone order. Also , why couldnt the counter person make my sandwich.
