Our family recently relocated to Swift Current! We took our young adult son out for a celebratory dinner, as he got hired for a new job. Saffron House was his choice, and it did not disappoint. It was our first time at the restaurant. We loved the vibe, and our server was so kind and friendly. It was my first introduction to Indian food, but not my partner or son’s. The food was so good!!! As we were waiting and enjoying our meal we couldn’t help but notice the large amount of takeout orders going out, the DoorDash driver was so busy. If you are in Swift Current, you must give Saffron House a try. We can’t wait to go back!

Wow, just unreal, the best Indian I’ve had in Canada. The vibe was chill and warm, the server was very nice and calm, the food was large portions and sooo freaking delicious. Music was cool and the bathrooms were super clean. Can’t recommend enough !! 6 stars

We flew into Swift Current from Toronto for a wedding. We came to Saffron House to find an inexpensive, delicious meal on our last night in town. This was by far the best Indian food I have ever had! I really loved how potent and strong and flavourful the food was. I loved how everything was super authentic. It was like I had taken a trip to India. Our server Karmjeet was super patient. She made really good recommendations and helped to put a meal together for all of us. If you are ever in Swift Current, I would really recommend eating there.

We stopped in after a long day of driving and were so pleased with the friendly service and amazing food. We have a favorite Indian spot back home, but this places rivals their delicious flavors. We had the garlic naan with Lamb Biryani and Lamb Jalfrezi. We highly recommend this special place located in a strip mall down town.

My family and I were visiting from out of town for a wedding. Our last night in Swift Current, we decided to go to The Saffron House because it has gluten free options. The food was so good! We tried four dishes and they were all flavourful and delicious. I liked the music and the decor of the restaurant. The atmosphere was amazing! Karmjeet, our server, recommended gluten free and budget friendly options. The experience was great. If you are ever in Swift Current, I recommend The Saffron House.

We loved Saffron House and would definitely come back next time we are in Swift Current. The menu had explanations for the different types of dishes which was very helpful, the food was delicious, and the portion sizes were large – bigger than other Indian food restaurants we’ve been to. It was also very affordable, only $60 for two of us to get two meat dishes, two steamed rices, and two plain naans. Highly recommend!

We came across this place on our way and thought of trying and it was one of the best decisions we made. The food was exceptional, the server lady was very kind and helpful. She recommended to try the tandoori special for the day and we tried it and was super delicious. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the spices were on point and later we had the chicken fried rice with chilli chicken which was also very flavourful, tasty and delicious.
Would definitely recommend to anyone who is craving Indian food.
The service, ambiance and the food is all very well.

The second we walked in we were greeted with a fun neon sign of the restaurant which I haven’t seen in a while. We came quite late so there wasn’t much people around but the decor of the place is amazing with light relaxing music in the background as well.

The service was great our server was friendly and gave us good recommendations. Our food came fast and hot and she always came by every 5 minutes with water to refill our glasses.

The food was refreshing because it’s my fire time in Saskatchewan and to be honest in this small town finding a good restaurant was a bit of an adventure but this place puts some Calgary Indian restaurants to shame. The food here was amazing the mango curry was sweet and spicy and the meat tender. The fried rice was crispy and seasoned well. The Panner Tikka was pretty cheesy and seasoned but not my favourite.

Great place sad I only went once and probably never again but it was an amazing experience!

You know a restaurant is going to be good when the guy waiting for takeout in front of you immediately starts raving at you about the food. It was clear this guy had developed a crippling dependence on the butter chicken poutine: he’d eaten it three times in three days, and was picking up a second helping to go when we met him.

Despite the rave review, we didn’t get the butter chicken poutine. We ate in, and had veggie pakoras with mint sauce, followed by lamb rogan josh with butter naan and coconut rice.

The pakoras were perfect – hot, crispy, full of flaky potatoes and subtle herbs. The mint sauce was tangy and so savoury we scraped the bowl clean with a spoon.

We finished the pakoras so quickly I didn’t get a picture.

The lamb was tender and flavourful, in a rich gravy whose spice grew on the palate throughout the meal. The coconut rice was chock-full of real coconut, and well seasoned. I would only caution that it was sweeter than I anticipated.

The naan was some of the best I’ve ever eaten! Fresh, hot, crispy and pillowy and just the right amount of chewy.

All in all, an unexpectedly wonderful meal during our brief stop on our way from AB to MB.

It’s worth the stop!
