Wow! What a fantastic experience! We were greeted with warm smiles right from the start, and the service only got better from there. The food was easily a 10/10. I ordered the pizza, which was incredible, and everyone else in our group loved their dishes as well.
I now fully understand why Mama’s Cafe is rated so highly. I accidentally spilled water into my wife’s pasta, and without hesitation they replaced it with a fresh dish—on the house. Their kindness and attentiveness to everyone in our party truly stood out. Samantha, our waitress, was exceptional from the moment we walked in until the moment we left.
Overall, it was one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We had an amazing dinner at Mama D’s Italian Kitchen in Corona del Mar! The outdoor seating had a cozy, welcoming vibe, and the staff were exceptionally warm and attentive. Every dish was delicious — from the creamy pesto penne to the rich gnocchi and flavorful pastas topped with fresh parmesan. The garlic bread with olive oil dip was perfect too. We’re all vegetarian, and they went above and beyond to make everything fresh and accommodating. Truly one of the best Italian dining experiences we’ve had — highly recommend!

We came here based on great reviews and it didn’t disappoint. Food was delicious and service was great. The price was reasonable. It was too bad that the restaurant was not very big and it was crowded. We didn’t want to wait to be seated indoors and sit outside. There were heaters outside but they were not enough for all the tables. My friends didn’t dress warm enough. Our server moved the heater closer to our table after the other table left (they came before us so they got the heater a bit closer to their table initially). Also, parking next to the restaurant was limited and we had to park on the street.

We ordered the Chicken Parm and the chicken and sausage pasta with spicy red sauce—both were phenomenal. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the flavors of the spicy sauce were simply divine. The Chicken Parm was perfectly crispy, tender, and loaded with flavor.

Went here with the family after a trip to Fashion Island. We brought our 3 year old and 10 month old and had some of the absolute best service. Chris was outstanding explaining the menu, making recommendations and anticipating all our needs. This was one of the most kid friendly restaurant experiences we have had. They had a kid menu, offered a “baby pasta” to come out immediately for the baby, and made sure the food came out quick for the kids. We will absolutely be back and can’t recommend Mama Ds enough!

My family & I had our first encounter with Mama D’s yesterday, and we will definitely return. From start to finish EXCELLENCE. Our server Jake went above & beyond. Now for the food….good lord! Parking kinda sucks. Street Parking or have to park on side streets. If there is parking, it must have been small, different see it.

You got free sample of pasta for the kid!
The food is fantastic. The free bread is aromatic. The pasta cooking is perfectly al dente. Pink sauce is delicious. The only miss is meat ball, which we feel too mushy like a meat loaf. We also had the margarita pizza, which is delicious. Although we expected to see sliced mozzarella but it did not has that presentation, the flavor is unbeatable.
We will definitely be here again! This is one of the places that the fame does not outshine the reality.
