What a cool find! Stopped in for lunch and beat the rush. Great river views and nice way to enjoy the outdoors on the water. Looks like they have sides that drop to allow a nice meal even if its a bit cold. Ordered the walleye dinner and wow! Cooked perfect and seasoned well. Beer is nice and cold too! Highly recommend this place!

First time here. In town visiting family. We enjoyed the outdoor patio and watching the barges go by. Service was great. Food was tasty. Menu options were decent and cold beverages were too.

First time visiting this place on 8-2-25, a friend and I rode our motorcycles up there and having never been there I wasn’t sure on where to park. Anyway, we ended up parking a street over and walking up several steps, I knew the restaurant and river was over the tall steep bank. Anyway, as we left I did see a parking garage for the public, not sure IF it costs anything but it’s on a deadend street and in front of the RiverWatch walk way. I will definitely go to this place again. There is a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. Food was great and so was the service.

Well, I expected more. First of all, prices are high, food is ok, but not worth the money. The side salad I got ala carte ($5) was very small, had wilting lettuce and one cucumber, sweet potato fries were covered with sugar and had dipping sauce that’s extremely sweet. The fish was actually not bad, considering it’s from frozen. They claim to have “catch of the day”, hope it’s not from the Ohio River! Definitely not Key West vibe as they claim

We stopped in for a drink and snack. They were newly opened for the year, so they did not have some things available, like Coors Light. They have a few draft beers on tap and a variety of frozen drinks. Bartender was very friendly and helpful! The Mahi Mahi fingers and potato balls were delicious! There is indoor seating and an outdoor enclosed area with windows.

I’ve lived here my whole life and had never been – don’t be like me.

If you like salty seasoned fries like I do then these are some of the best.

Unless you drive your boat here (which is possible) then you will have a little walk to get onto the boat (unless you prefer to swim ) but it is all ramps.

As far as parking, there is free parking in the garage or if you turn right instead of left into the garage then you can drive up the ramp and we saw people parked up there as well. It makes for a very slightly shorter walk that way.

The food is delicious. Sitting outside on the river was perfect and Diana was a great waitress. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Riverwatch is a unique location for a restaurant. It appears to be sitting on a barge on the banks of the Ohio river. Large columns on the side appear to be able to move the structure up or down depending on the depth of the water.

I did not know what to expect for the quality of the meals when entering the restaurant. It is very informal. Large bugs were holding on to the plastic on the exterior side of the dining room. The floor is concrete and the interior is very informal.

The service was very good. Our server answered questions, took our orders, and kept the iced tea glasses filled which we appreciated after walking a lot before lunch.

I did not ask about availability of wine options and did not see many options on the regular menu although there were a variety of mixed drinks. There is a bar there as well behind another door. Anyone wanting more wine options to accompany a meal should ask; it is probably available. There was a wide selection of beer and, just a hunch, the restaurant generally sells a lot more beer than wine and they know their market’s preferences.

Having grown up in New England, I love lobster in a variety of dishes. A lobster sandwich with fresh lobster is a great meal and typically quite expensive when filled with fresh lobster. There was a lobster sandwich on the menu and I ordered it.

It was lobster salad with a mayonnaise base. There was not much of a lobster flavor in the wrap, probably due to the dressing, and the color of the lobster would indicate it may not have been fresh. I did not ask and it was a large sandwich and tasted good in any event. It was much less expensive (about $12.00 in this instance) than recent lobster sandwiches I have had on the East Coast in recent weeks and did not have the same flavor but was still a good option for lunch.

My dining companion had the coconut shrimp. She described it as “pretty good” but contained more breading than shrimp.

My other dining companion had a small salad and it was fresh and tasted good.

Surprisingly, the food was great! It’s a bit expensive, but I guess it’s worth it considering the location. Not very crowded on a Monday evening. Service was quick and quite welcoming. Nashville hot sauce with an Impossible patty and some mayo made it a great burger/sandwhich.
$30 for a burger with coleslaw & a drink

We visited River Watch on Sunday for lunch to celebrate a special event, and it was a wonderful experience. We sat outside on the covered deck, which gave us a great view of the river while still staying comfortable. The atmosphere was relaxed and scenic—perfect for a celebration.

The food was delicious and came out fresh, and the prices were very reasonable considering both the quality and the setting. Service was friendly and helpful without being rushed, which gave us time to enjoy the meal and the view.

If you’re looking for a spot to enjoy good food with a beautiful river backdrop, River Watch is an excellent choice. We’ll definitely be coming back!
