Does Papi Chulo’s have great Mexican food? It’s hard for me to judge. I’ve never been to Mexico to eat. But I’ve been to this restaurant twice and I really enjoy their food. The wait staff is very attentive. The atmosphere is fun and management was extremely understanding regarding the amount of time we stayed to eat and visit. The price is quite reasonable considering the portions and the menu choices remind me of pre-covid days. Food is cooked to perfection with high quality ingredients.

One of the best places I’ve ever eaten at in all honesty! Great service and very kind and nice waitress. 10/10 and would go higher on my review if I could.
The atmosphere was amazing and the food came out quickly. Not only was the food good, but she even gave us free margaritas! Great music with a great time and lovely people! Absolutely would recommend dining here it’s a nice place to eat as a couple or as a family!

“We were a party of 4 adults and one child. The food was okay, but the service was not good. A 20% gratuity was automatically added, and it was not clearly stated on the menu. We were only informed when we received the bill. Customers should be informed about this policy upfront.”

Bright and colorful. The service is excellent. I never had to ask for a refill. The food was delicious and fresh, and the portions are insane. I come to Spencer, Indiana often and this might be my new hot spot. Also the horchata was too notch.

The service is outstanding, atmosphere is great. The Mexican food is so good that I think no one is mentioning that they may also have the best burger in Bedford as well. Excellent restaurant!

Great food, service, and atmosphere. However, the restaurant charges a credit card fee on debit cards. I challenged them on the fee when attempting to pay with a debit card. They stated they charge a fee whether it’s a credit or debit card. They do have a sign on the door for a fee on credit cards. Got home and looked up fee on debit cards:
Restaurants generally cannot legally add a surcharge for debit card payments in the same way they might for credit cards, as card network rules and state laws often prohibit it, requiring businesses to provide a lower cash price and disclose fees upfront; however, some businesses might try to disguise it as a “convenience fee,” but this is often illegal for debit transactions, with exceptions for specific direct electronic payments (not standard debit/credit) and strict disclosure rules.
I do like the restaurant and the people who work there. Great people! Don’t know how/why the owner charges fees. I hope they reconsider fees in the future for customers.

Great Mexican food and fast service. Portions are good size too. Chips and salsa are not included if that is important to anyone.

The atmosphere is unlike most mexican restaurants. The food was really good. I had a veggie fajita burrito, which was really good. The wife had a shrimp ricebowl, which she said was really good. The kids had.
Mac and cheese and French fries. They do have a full bar. I had a tall beer, and the wife had a Blackberry Margarita frozen, which was really good. It did get really busy around 6 pm, so I would recommend coming before that time if possible. This was a new place we ate it today we highly recommend.. Check out all the pictures. The only thing I didn’t like is that I had to pay for chips and salsa. It is not free Like most mexican restaurants.

We just discovered this restaurant when taking a trip to Southern Indiana.
Food was served hot and tasted as expected, and we ordered chimichangas and soppas, which all was good.
We did find it different from most Mexican restaurants, with not serving chips and salsa before the meal.
The servers were a bit overwhelmed with a few customers, and although we left a tip, we didn’t receive any refills on our lemon water ( which was our drink) or service after receiving our food orders.
